The San Jose McEnery Convention Center hosts a wide range of events, such as concerts, convetions, and much more.
I attended Offkai Expo Gen 4, one of the largest Virtual Youtuber/VTuber specific conventions in the North American region. The convention itself was well organized, though lines could be long and crowded depending on the streamer.
A highlight of the event was Phase Connect's offerings, who brought a robust set of talents as well as sponsored the event. A highlight of their event was their concert, The OriginS of Stars, a 3D concert highlighting a few of their talents. The crowd was energetic, cheering on each talent as they sang covers as well as their own music.
The merchandise available was also vast in offerings, with such groups such as VSPO, Hololive, and others hosting booths or having fans sell fanmade merchandise throughout the dealers room or artist alley.
Overall, a fun event and looking forward to not only next year's Offkai, but also Phase Connect's first convention announced...

I usually carry pepper spray and a noise maker for defense, but I had thankfully removed them the morning I went to the convention center because neither would have been allowed past the security station. That's not the reason for the 4, though. The security measures are in place for a reason, I'm sure. The reason for the slightly lower rating is that while the convention center itself is lovely, it was tricky to find the entrance, navigate parking, and get to the event once I got there so much so that I stopped to give directions to 3 different people on my way out because they couldn't find the entrance. Meanwhile, the parking garage doesn't let you walk on the ramps, so I had to go back into the convention center just to get to the right level of the garage to get my car....
