My recent experience at this Target honestly left a lot to be desired, particularly in terms of their customer service and the way they handle locked up items. Given this is College Park, you would think it's safe enough to handle the crowd. However, it was clear to me that that finding assistance would be an uphill battle. The employees seemed disinterested and unavailable, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored.
To make matters worse, several items that I needed were locked up behind glass cases or security devices. While I understand the need for store security, it was incredibly inconvenient to have to hunt down an employee just to access basic products. This not only wasted my time but also made me question whether or not I felt safe inside the store as well.
Even when I did manage to find someone to assist me with unlocking these items, their attitude was less than helpful. It felt as though they were doing me a favor rather than providing a simple service that should be expected from any retail establishment. Furthermore, the checkout process was equally frustrating and disappointing. The cashier lacked basic customer service, making no effort to engage with customers or provide efficient service.
Overall, my bad experience at this specifically Target has left me questioning whether I want to shop here again. Their customer service is severely lacking, with disinterested and unhelpful team members who seem more interested in avoiding customers than assisting them. Additionally, the locking up of items creates a lot of inconvenience for us as customers and raises concerns about trusting shoppers. I'm never coming back to this...
Read moreThis review is only for the returns desk. Rest of store is fine. If I could give 0 stars it would be valid for the experience I had here on 3/28. The lady working the desk .I think her name is Adrian, is the rudest customer service person I've ever dealt with. She gave me such attitude for a simple return of $4.96. treated me as if I were robbing the place. I had my receipt but forgot my debit card. It was cut and thrown away aft I got home. Finally aft a wait of roughly 15 agonizing mins she gave me a gift card for the $4.96. I said please cash rhis out as it's under $10 . She refused saying she didn't hv to and said she did me such a great favor w the gift card alone. She would not cash it out. I told her Cal state law says I can cash it out because it's under $10. She made me show her the law on a web page I loaded Even after that she still says no. "Look you are lucky to get even a gift card" was what she told me. I asked for a manager. This lady and Adrian could be seen talking rudely about me I asked to speak with her. She said when I'm finished cashiering. Another 15 min wait. Finally she gave me the 4.96 in cash. All told I had to wait nearly 30 mins. I showed Adrian that I was allowed my money to which she laughed and said have fun w your 4 dollars. So unprofessional. Worst treatment ever from a target associate and I've shopped there for many many years. She needs to be retrained at...
Read moreThe 20-23 year old ~5’7 hispanic girl with bleached highlights at the self checkout registers around 3pm today was extremely rude. I would’ve gotten her name but she wasn’t even wearing a nametag. My partner and I only had a few items in our cart and as I read the “10 items or less” sign at the register, I quickly counted and confirmed we only had 7 items. The girl rudely said, “10 items or less!” to us as we were about to start checking out and I said, “Yeah, we only have 7 items” as I fake recounted everything for her. Then she repeats herself, even more rude and loud, “You can only have 10 items or less!!” Which at that point I just nodded and finished checking out.
I’m not sure why she cared so much, there wasn’t a line. And on top of that, she didn’t listen after confirming we had less than 10 items. Behavior like this is unacceptable and completely ruined my otherwise peaceful day doing an errand run. I don’t care if she was having a bad day and decided to be rude to take out her frustrations, I also work in customer service and would never talk to customers like how she did. I hope I never have to deal with her when I go to this location...
