Visited 08/18/24 around 4 PM I understand it was extremely hot weather that day, but walking into the restaurant it felt like a burning oven, As we Seated ourselves, it took about 15+ minutes for our server to take our drink orders, and even after that he was making us feel a little bit rushed, The first thing told us to please excuse the heat because the AC has been broken the entire morning and it’s been hot all day. I spoke to my family and asked if they were OK staying since we are already there and they agreed that we will stay and try to make it enjoyable. He took our drink orders and we got our waters and two margaritas within 10 minutes or so. He took our drink order so fast that we weren’t even able to order an appetizer. When he returned to the table, he wanted to let us know that we were not able to order hamburgers because they had ran out of hamburger buns, Also, we placed an order for potstickers, and he came back to tell us that they ran out of potstickers as well, I said OK let’s order some wings and guess what he took 10+ minutes to come back and tell me that they’re out of wings also!! Crazy right. At this point, I said you don’t even bother. We’re just gonna visit another restaurant and we would like To not pay for our drinks, He called the manager Clay who came to the table Who insisted that we pay for our drinks and the appetizers and right at that moment they brought out fresh potstickers even though the server said they were out and then he looks me straight in the eye and says well there you go here they are. Your food is out (appetizers) so you have to pay for them I said, but what’s the point we can’t order any burgers we can’t order any wings it was a whole purpose of our visit and then he said well. The hamburger buns are on their way because we had to go buy them somewhere else and, he insisted that we pay for the items even though we had not touched anything everything was still on the table , He said I could bring over the owner if you like I said yeah great the owner his name was Hank. Hank came to our table, made us feel like we were at fault like it was our fault that he ran out of buns. It was our fault that he didn’t have any wings. It was our fault that the AC was out and he insisted to tell us that the AC was not out even though we brought the server back to our table and said did you not tell us the AC was out since this morning and Hank said no no that’s a lie. We’ve never had the AC out. It’s just really hot outside. That’s why it’s super hot in here, making us feel really stupid , and then he said well you’re not gonna leave until you pay for your drinks and food at least pay for your appetizers and I’ll comp the drinks. I said why we haven’t even touch them here they are. We’re not happy with the experience. We’re not happy with the service we would like to go somewhere else and he insisted that we were gonna pay finally I spoke to my wife and my wife said give them the credit card so we can pay so we can get out of here and then he said no it’s OK. Y’all could just go extremely rude extremely unprofessional as a business owner and just made our entire experience feel like crap. , We drove five hours away because our daughter started school in San Marcos and the whole experience was terrible and I could just imagine why the server clay and the manager Jack had attitudes like that because they get it from the owner Hank directly and it’s such a shame that we had to walk out. I pray you learn to be patient and I pray you teach your staff how important...
Read moreI got the pulled pork sandwich and the pulled pork Mac and cheese to share with my friend and also a $3 frozen strawberry drink while my friend got a water. The pulled pork was dry and bland but the barbecue sauce made up for that. The mac is watery and uses spiral noodles and has a bland mildly Kraft tasting cheese sauce. The pulled pork mac is kind of hard to eat with a fork so I wouldn't reccomend it if you are embarrassed by eating messy food. The frozen margarita was EXTREMELY weak and I didnt get any effect from it at all, leaving 100% sober despite being a lightweight drinker and the heat from the outdoor seating melting my drink making it easy to drink quickly. The waitress was dry, melting, and bland as well. When we finally did manage to catch her we had to flag her down several other times in order to order our food and drinks and then at the end of the experience (which was actually a very nice karaoke night with a friend) When I gave the waitress my card and the receipt to pay the bill it did not go through because I did not transfer the money. She came back to my male friend and told him the card did not go through even though I had been the one who had just handed her my card 2 minutes beforehand; and he said "OK well that's her card. That's kind of sexist to assume that." I then quickly handed her $20 and put $2 on the table while she was looking and thanked her. She paid for my rounded up to $13 tab and I said thank you again. She decided instead of giving me my full change and a receipt to only give me $5, no receipt to go ahead and tip herself $1.37 when I was planning on using the change and some Bill's I had in my wallet to tip her $4 total. I understand that it was the end of the night and there was a lot to do but there's no reason to tip yourself when I was planning to give you more before you did that. I do understand that normally you deal with college students that are drunk and rowdy and don't tip or pay their tabs but I was sober and kind. Honestly If it wasn't for the waitress... I'm sure it would have been a...

I typically avoid leaving negative public reviews, preferring instead to give feedback directly to the Manager on Duty and simply not return if the experience is poor. However, this visit was disappointing enough to share. While hunger often makes food taste better, we found ourselves unimpressed by the quality here.
🔹Food: Chicken Club Sandwich🔹 I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich with bacon on the side and a side of sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, they were out of sweet potato fries, so regular fries were substituted.
The food took longer than expected to arrive. The grilled chicken breast was small and slightly tough, and the sandwich was very dry. I ended up adding mustard to make it more palatable. It was supposed to come with a side of mayo, but that never arrived. The sandwich itself was basic: dry bread, a thin slice of tomato, and one small lettuce leaf. On a positive note, the bread was toasted properly.
The fries, however, were disappointing—wrinkled, half-burned, dry, and limp. It’s surprising how fries, something so simple, could be prepared so poorly.
🔹Food: Pulled Pork Mac-n-Cheese Sandwich🔹 The Pulled Pork Mac-n-Cheese Sandwich was also underwhelming. The macaroni resembled something out of a cheap instant box, with barely any cheese and a dry texture. The pulled pork lacked flavor and seasoning. My husband ate it because he was hungry, but it was far from enjoyable.
🔹Wine: Boxed Rosé🔹 The only redeeming aspect of the meal was the wine pour, which was generous. Unfortunately, the wine itself was not good—it tasted as if it had been open for too long.
🔹Atmosphere🔹 To add to the experience, a spider joined me at the table while I was having water. It seemed defensive, so I left it alone, much like the overall service...
