I bought a commercial machine for our spa and honestly have never experienced a worse performance out of any brand at any price. It literally broke in the first week. There was some sort of top crown defect whereby the drum tore away from the frame and plastic shards fell into the bottom of the machine making funny noises.
The repair folks came by (Martin & Harris in Marin County, CA) and took most of the shards out but didn't replace the drum and said it would still work. It did for a while but then began making horrible noises like an animal was being tortured in the back room. They ordered the wrong part twice while we went to the laundromat spending hundreds of dollars. I finally called the manufacturer myself and they'd never heard of the problem as Martin & Harris hadn't filed a claim against the warranty even though the parts were being ordered from the manufacturer. I requested a replacement since this machine is surely a lemon, and they refused.
I then let them listen to the noise at Speed Queen which shocked them, and they immediately called their chief repairman who'd been with the company for many years. Instead of sending the part he recommended, they sent another part. In the meantime the drum and belt were replaced which did nothing. They greased some moving parts which did nothing. It'd been 2 months and we were still waiting for some relief. Finally the store takes the necessary part - the drive bell assembly - from a new machine in the store and installed it into our machine. They cleaned out the rest of the shards which had gotten underneath the shaft and the machine worked well again for about a week.
The same noise started again after the the top crown tore away again from the frame. They came over from Martin & Harris to confirm that the improbable was true and finally requested a replacement. That's been a month ago. It's the third week in January and we've been dealing with this since early October 2018. It's just not worth the hassle to take a risk on this machine. It may have had a good reputation at one time, but at this point I'd never buy another one, especially since the service is abysmal. The guys at Martin & Harris are nice enough, but not getting the job done, rarely follow up, and have to be pressed again and again to do anything at all towards...
Read moreI did a kitchen remodel, and Martin Harris helped me pick out all the pieces for my kitchen. The customer service was great and they answered all my questions. The prices were competitive and the selection was great. The best part is it’s a smaller local company and when you call they Actually answer the phone and they have their own team for repairs. It’s so nice to actually talk to a person rather than be on. Hold and get nowhere. They’ve been responsible and helpful every time I’ve called. I highly recommend using them rather than a big box company. I’ve been really happy. One more thing when I had a problem with my dishwasher, they walked me through what to do to fix it rather than send someone out and charge me a bunch of money. The problem was resolved. They really care about...
Read moreMartin & Harris did a fantastic job in repairing our Bosch dishwasher. It had been throwing an E24 error code and stopping mid way through cycles. I had done my own troubleshooting and had replaced the drain pump myself, but it was still happening, so I called Martin & Harris.
Their technician came out and replaced the control board but the issue was still occurring. He researched it with the factory and came out again to finally repair it with a fix that was not obvious nor did it have anything to do with the drain pump which is related to E24.
By the time it was fixed, the tech had come 3 or 4 times but was always friendly and professional - and most importantly, helped us avoid having to buy a new dishwasher for this one which was only 5 years old.
Thank you,...
