Very rude staff! I usually avoid going to this store knowing their bad practices. But I ran out of something in the evening which can be bought in an Indian store only and this store being close to my house I decided to go there. I also bought milk from the store with the expiration date a week later. I boiled the milk and it became curd. I had never experienced this before as bought the same Alexander A2 milk from other grocery stores in the area. When I went to get the refund the store owner checked the lot and the date and said it's not expired. I said the date says it's not but actually it was bad and the date might have been modified. The owner went and brought another person who was a thug. He tried to scare me by coming close to me while talking and asking for my ID to refund the money. At this point the owners (the old guy and his son) just went mute and would completely ignore me and let this thug take care of the matter. Eventually I started recording our conversations and at that point in time he decided to refund the money without my ID card.
I repent going to that store. Avoid this scammy place...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience here. I had placed an order for fresh, hot rotis for a puja and specifically requested that they be made fresh. When I went to pick them up, the rotis were completely cold. I mentioned this to the owner, who insisted they were hot because they were in foil. When I opened them in front of him, they were clearly cold. Instead of addressing the issue politely, the owner spoke to a lady in the store (in Gujarati), and she told me that I should never place an order there again and that they would not take my orders in the future. When I asked why I was being spoken to this way when I was only clarifying about the order I paid for (not something free), she told me to leave. To make matters worse, when I came home and served the rotis to my guests, they were not even fresh — they were stuck together, tearing apart, and in no condition to serve at a puja. I left feeling humiliated and very disappointed. I don’t think I did anything wrong by asking why my order was cold when I had specifically requested fresh, hot rotis. Very unprofessional and unacceptable...
Read moreThis is my friend’s store, going forward I will not shop here. For years, we trusted them with our grocery shopping. I even supported and referred customers for their other business, the owner’s wife's real estate, insurance, and regular shopping.
But after seeing firsthand how the owner knowingly sells spoiled food — even to friends and family — I’m absolutely sickened. They even print fake expiration dates, putting profit above people’s health, without a second thought about the families who trust them — including mine. The owner knows fully well that my kids would be the ones consuming that food.
It’s heartbreaking and infuriating to experience this kind of betrayal from someone within our own community. Customers who support this store — especially those who go out of their way to help their business grow — deserve honesty, responsibility, and basic human...
