Let me begin with saying while I have not been to Thailand I have eaten home cooked Thai food at a friends house and at some of the best Thai spots in SF.
Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in the east bay if not thee best. We live in Castro Valley and were a little bored with the local CV and Hayward Thai offerings so after reading other reviews we made the drive out and it was 100% worth it. The service was friendly and attentive including bringing us a menu to look at while we waited for a table outside on a warm Friday evening. The food was amazing, fresh, and light. We started off with the Mango Salad medium spicy. Tofu Madness lived up to its name with perfectly prepared and marinated tofu that was delicious. Second main dish was the Gang Som Sai Bua from the "secret menu" a savory lighter broth style curry Thai spicy and cooked just right with shrimp. Next was the Thai Basil with the minced chicken as recommended. Each bite from each dish was so good.
After the meal we had leftovers since it was just two of us and we were full but not stuffed. The food is fresh and light and the place was full the entire time we were there. The atmosphere is warm and contemporary. Again thank you to the great staff and the chef for curating such a great menu, truly a gem. We are looking forward to going back already and may not go back to our local spots again. They just don’t compare.
Sorry no pics but the ones online are representative of what you get. Wonderful presentation and a feast for the eyes. ...

We went to new location in Walnut Creek before and was too crowded. Since it was an off night, we were able to sit in patio area. Standard Thai fare but still ever tasty. I cheated and ordered app of chicken satay with some roti bread for dipping. They do have fish just need to request off menu. Thai coffee for Aman and two rounds of T Tea. Food was served fresh, warmed cooked to perfection and tastes around the world. Still like simolicity if the chopped red onion vinegar and cucumber! Condiment We all tgree shared famiky style as we had early lunch in WC, stated earlier. Service was professiinal, three different persons but all orders were correctly perfect. They usually have break inbetween both lunch and dinner and we got in time just prior as for respectfulness to the staff/cooks. Secret menu choiced out with Tamarind Prwans, but be aware calamari ri gs inside coconut fresh cut out if you didnt see any overflowing lavs...
Read moreMet a friend here for lunch today. This is her favorite thai place and it's close to her home in SR. She ordered a "thai" salad (nice ingredients, including prawns). I got the Pad Thai. I always measure how good a thai restaurant by their Pad Thai. The food here is good (but a bit overpriced). My pad thai was $12. It came with soup (warm, not hot). Her salad was $14.50 (mostly lettuce/greens ). Service was attentive and competent. She loved the salad and I liked the pad thai. I deducted a star because I thought the salad was a bit limited and the pad thai was just an average serving. Sala Thai (Fremont) is the best thai food I've ever eaten. And I give them 5 stars. This, was a bit below that. Hence, the 4-stars. This is a hugely busy restaurant. So, you need to get here exactly at 11am (opening) or after the lunch crowd at 130pm. To get seated, you utilize the "Yelp reservation system". While it's a bit time consuming and clunky, this is how they...
