I feel like small city movie theaters are dying out and that's sad. This place was bought out some time again by the current company. We were the only two in our theatre, and that's sad.
They made some changes that are great - namely the seating. The seats are all big comfy reclining seats. I absolutely love it. We went to see the Demon Slayer movie which was apparently 2.5 hours long and at no point did we feel any discomfort.
The floor is clean (so long as you don't look under the seats in front of you) and everything feels clean and tidy.
The movie rooms themselves are large and so is the screen. The speakers sound great - though you do sometimes hear things from the adjacent rooms.
The lobby is kind of rough. The walls need at least fixed up a bit and repainted. The ceiling was kind of gross. The bathroom we used when we left was absolutely awful. It was extremely small. It was kind of dirty. There was a chunk missing from the stall wall. The stall barrier was delaminating. I named it the murder bathroom.
Staff was super friendly and attentive at the lobby. They did card us since it was an 18+ movie, but my fiance and I are 31 and 33 and we look it. I know they are following rules but it felt funny to me, lol.
Price was kind of high but we did get two large drinks and a bucket of popcorn. It was still worth it for sure though. I'd 100% visit again and if they ever found the money to do some interior updates I'd easily...
Read moreWish I could give it even less stars, went there to see a movie with my wife last night and what a shock. First the theater is in horrible shape, the mens room near the door was out of order and the other one had a hole kicked in the wall by some idiot, the wall paper is peeling off in many places, and floor has a step up on the side section and there is no lighting to let you know there is a trip hazard. Now for the part that really irritated us, the movie goers are rude, noisy, and just disrespectful I had to tell the three kids behind us to shut up. If I heard the F word once I heard it 1000 times by these three kids behind us and after I told them to be quiet they still made noises, I went out looking for management and there was no one to be found. I know this is the only theater in the area but have some dignity and clean up the place, be proud of your business and replace the wallpaper. Oh and have the ticket taker put her cigarettes away too, that should have been my first clue to go home and rent a video. Bottom line if you go because there is nothing for miles don't be surprised to see a mess and sit near obnoxious kids, won't ever see me...
Read moreUpdate: I'm updating my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. My wife and I went back to the theater for a date night and we really enjoyed ourselves. This time we weren't in theater 4 so the screen was not a problem. Sound, video, seating, and environment are great.
Unfortunately, their prices for Tuesday were raised 50 cents, but still a remarkable deal. Original review below: I've been here twice so far, and I really do like it. The seats are very comfortable and they recline! If you go on Tuesdays, it's only 5 bucks per ticket and concessions are cheap too. Very affordable.
However, the reason for 3 stars is due to an issue with the screen in theater #4. Last time I was there, the screen had a noticable flicker in some of the brighter scenes in the movie. I'm assuming this is due to the bulb in the projector slowly dying. It was honestly pretty distracting and took away from the experience. I let one of the staff members know but they didn't seem to really care and sounded apathetic toward my concern.
I will give the theater another shot for sure, and I will update my review then. I'm hoping that the flickering with the screen will be...
