High Point Center — Attraction in Sandy

This plaza has become an area for car meets and while I love that culture, I've spoken with a couple people and read many reviews of cars getting stolen and scratched...I have a 04 echo so no one messes with mine but yeah wouldn't go to the shops here with a nice car. I went to the vasa in this plaza last night and there were 3 guys on their motorbikes attempting to do wheelies....revving and speeding right past the entrance, pretty dangerous and it seems like the shop owners just don't police that behavior. I've gone to the vasa here for three years and the car/bike meets, while at first great, seem to be getting a little bit...

They're turning this property into apartments. I don't know whether that includes Gold's Gym and Sunset Coffee. I hope not. Should they happen to bulldoze over Burger King and Outback, I promise not to shed a tear.

I was just thinking the other day, the one thing that the 7800 S 1300 E intersection could really use is more traffic congestion! Then I hear about the plans to develop this into apartments that most people can't afford and it's as if serendipity had a love child with kismet!

Overall I’ve enjoyed having this shopping plaza. There’s been a number of different businesses around with the main one being Maceys. I’m sad to hear that it’s going away. I don’t think the city needs more residential apartments on top of the hill. Now the locals just have to go further to get to a grocery store, or to get papa Murphy’s pizza, or get a haircut at great clips, not to mention the other places nearby that I heard are going away like sunset coffee and vasa fitness....
