I have never written a negative review before but, I felt I needed to share. Personally my experience with salon was not great for several reasons. I booked a acrylic set for myself and a manicure for my boyfriend so we can get matching nails for our anniversary, when I walked in I was super excited and I came out totally distraught and almost in tears from the experience. One of the first things I noticed is that they have a ton or hidden fees. For my nails Online it said my service would be $50 plus $5-10 for design so I was thinking it would be about $60 or at most $70. I asked for a simple red nail with black polka dots like lady bugs and they told me my total would be $85 for the full set. They charged for length and for shape as well. I didn't get long nails either they were the second shortest and just got a simple almond shape. They also didn't give me the full service I usually receive at other salons. They didn't cater to my nails, they didn't cut my cuticles and when I asked about that they said it would be an extra charge. The second issue I noticed it that the products they were using appeard to be really cheap. The nail glue kept sticking all over my fingers and the nail tips they used were braking and bending when the lady cut the to the length I wanted. The third and biggest issue for me. The reason I left the salon with my nails unfinished was, the lady I was working with was really unkind to me. I asked for simple changes like the shape I wanted my nails and how she wasn't putting the acrylic to the top of my nail bed, and she didn't take my input as well as she came back and me really snippy saying " I know what I'm doing " everytime I tried to put input on how I would like my nails I told her to ignore my input If she was planning to fix it already and told her I was justs letting her know how I would like my nails as we go and she continued to be really passive aggressive toward me which made me feel really uncomfortable and want to leave. So I told her I wanted to be done with the service and she can soak of my nails because at that point I was so unsatisfied with my nails and I no longer wanted to continue because I felt extremely uncomfortable and anxious and wanted to go home. They said it would be an extra charge to take off the nails, that they placed even though I told her I didn't like from the begining. In my experince she was also really rough and my nails were in pain half the time which contributed to me wanting to leave. My boyfriend experince was a lot more pleasant than mine. His nails came out really great and the lady who did his was very kind. The biggest issue I had with this was they placed me and my boyfriend apart and when I asked to be togther because that's what I booked and it was our date they said " it will only be for a minute" this service took close to an hour, with me not even finishing the nails. I didn't pay for mine because they were unfinished but when I went to pay for my boyfriend nails they said it would be $60 I was in disbelief online it said it would be $25 + $5-10 for designs. The lady told me it was because he did gel. Keep in mind I didn't ask for gel I booked a regular manicure online. When I walked in they did say "he's doing a gel manicure right?" and in my mind I thought they were confirming the service I booked online, it just felt sneaky and like they were trying to get more money out of me. They also didn't give him the full service. They didn't cut his nails or cuticles either. In the end I payed for his nails and tipped the girl who did his nails. It was just a very unpleasant expeince for me and I wouldn't come back. I'm writing this review not to blame anyone or anything negative I just want to let the other girls out there know what they're getting into before going to this salon as I wish I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I even begin. I have been to this salon before and got a pretty decent pedicure. Todayās pedicure started with the fountain in the pedicure bowl shooting water all over me and drenching my shirt and pants. Instead of giving the customer a towel to clean off first, they started cleaning the floor and eventually gave me one. Yes they were apologetic, so I just chalked it up to accidents happen and now is a time to just sit back and relax.
Then came the dremel. A little confused since I get regular polish, so I told the nail tech itās not gel, itās regular polish. Never had to do that before, but again things happen. By the time she got to the other foot she was using the dremel again.
Then came the cutting of the critical and cleaning of the nail. Yes I know I have small nails, I keep them cut short due to work shoes. As she was working I kept feeling pain on my toes, but again just thought maybe she was really taking her time and doing it thoroughly. That was until I looked down and saw blood all over the side of my big toe. So I said, āIs that bloodā and she said yes but will wash it off later. Then I noticed another nic on another toe that was red and blood coming out. She wiped my big toe and kept working. At that point I knew I was done. I asked for a tissue and she said we would wash it off. She told me to put my foot back in the basin, but there was no way I was willing to put that foot back in the water filled with all the soaps and such. I said actually I think Iām done, I donāt want to get an infection. They gave me a towel to wipe all the scrub off.
I went to the front to stand and offer to pay for the polish removal (even though I donāt think I should due to the service), she said I didnāt have to pay.
At some point in the service she did say she was just getting an ingrown toenail out of the big toe, which maybe it was there I am not sure. But nail techs arenāt suppose to do that, podiatrist are.
Needless to say never going back and hope I donāt have any infections pop up. Also, love the fact the top layer of my nail was taken off by the dremelā¦. Again, you donāt do that for regular polish and she didnāt do that the last time she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter being a regular at this salon for quite some and after wanting to give them the befit of the doubtā¦this weekend was absolutely my last time.
The only thing this shop is consistent at, is being inconsistent. The quality of the nails is inconsistent and the pricing is WILDLY inconsistent. The time it takes in the chair is inconsistent. Especially if you are booking with the owner. Iāve spent more than 3 hours in the shop for no reason, several times.
I have been wearing acrylic or gel extension nails for years and have been paying between $102 and $122 once a month to get them, along with a deluxe pedi. But recently decided to heal my natural nails and have just been doing gel. In March, i rcvd a full regular gel set with a manicure, and a deluxe pedi without replacing previous gel because it was still nice enough to keep, for $67. In May i technically got the same services, but this time replace the fell on my feet.
Somehow, the may manicure with gel (no pigment just topcoat), and the deluxe pedicure with pigmented gel came to a total of $100. No extensions, no shaping, no art. Nothing. How did adding the gel gel to my toes change the price by more than $30????? What the helly????? š They didnāt even use a quality hand cream for the manicure, they ussd a pea sized amount of cheap BBW body lotion.
I mentioned this to the pricing discrepancy to the owner, Megan, very quickly after showing her my short, natural nails, with no color or extension. And she stood on the $30 difference, and shrugged her shoulders. This is not the first time Iāve questioned the price on my services.
