My husband and I came here looking for some local gifts, we found some but their options were not nearly as robust as their website claimed. The woman working was very kind and knowledgeable about the history of the Sandy area. As she was regaling us with a fascinating story of the area, a scruffy gentleman that works there walked in, stood maybe six inches away from her and was VERY aggressively clearing his throat over and over and shaking his head at her trying to get her to stop telling us the history of the area. Like….excuse me? Can you not? If you have something to say, use words like a big boy. It was so unnecessary and uncomfortable. I think the time of grumpy old men interrupting women has come to an end, sir. If you don’t like women, stay home. If you don’t like the sometimes uncomfortable history of the area, clearly working in the HISTORICAL SOCIETY isn’t where you should be. The museum is really cool because it's got a ton of information on the Oregon Trail and that was my favorite video game growing up so this place definitely strikes a good chord for me. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful. They even let me connect to the WiFi network here. Lastly don't forget to sign the guest book...
