It's okay about sums it up here. In the last year or so the atmosphere has taken a bit of a drop in appeal. It's still a cool local dive bar with no lack of interesting pics on the wall to look at, as long as you're into bikes. The "food" I've had there has amounted to the likes of various forms of cardboard dropped into a deep fryer for a little too long... gut bomb. Though I haven't had what I've heard to be the best clam chowder in the world, but how can you screw that up...

The staff has been hit or miss for me. They used to have a really cool older gal who was a total hoot to talk to, but haven't seen her in quite a while. Since then the service has dropped off and the attitude behind the bar has been less than fun to deal with. There is a girl there now who is nice, however, so maybe it's a revolving door of bartenders right now.

One thing worth noting is that I've been in there plenty of times when you would fully expect any bar to be hopping, only to find it completely dead. Like my buddy and I would be the only people in there because the bartender was smoking out back. It's a bit of a buzz kill to expect a full bar and find noone. So all in all, it's got the potential, but...

Ok food, cold beer, lousy service. My wife and I came in this afternoon. Most of the beers were out, but that didn't bother us. We found a few to order. Food showed up with the wrong cheese on one burger (american in place of swiss), and the other missing bacon and the fried egg the menu described. We brought it up and the bartender said we were wrong. After a few more minutes and a few bites we read the menu again. No way, it's missing stuff. I politely told the bartender about the issue with my burger and got "it will take me a few minutes" back. She seemed offended/annoyed that I even brought it up. I didn't mention the cheese on the other burger. A plate came with bacon and an egg, she slid it into the side of my empty beer glass with a loud clink. No words at all. Bars usually push to fill am empty glass, so that was odd. We ate the okay food and got up to pay. Her hasty apology and deduction of the bar tab from the check didn't make up for the terrible attitude we dealt with up until we paid. We felt unwelcome while we ate. It was weird. I've been here a few times over the years and enjoyed myself for the most part. But maybe in the future if they want to have a halloween costume contest between friends they should have held it at home instead of at the bar leading people to believe that the judging would be about the costumes instead of their regulars/friends. It was entirely too obvious with the three chosen. I think we can all agree the first place winner was a great choice since he really embraced his character all evening. However what about the viking couple? The pirate and his wench? The chimpanzee Deadpool? The dead eyes lady? The deer woman who put more effort into the costume that a t-shirt and Jean's along with the hunter? Actual costumes happened here and were completely overlooked! The prizes are really not the issue here, just the obvious display of favoritism. Friends are great but there was a seriously tipped...
