A taste of Heaven's bliss and serenity... Estetica Mia is the newest spa in Santa Barbara and has set the bar high. From the minute you walk in, all your senses are awakened when you're greeted by aromatic scents, relaxing music, and a spacious locale with unexpected tall arched ceilings. Olivia at the front desk welcomed me with a smile, confirmed my reservation of a deep tissue massage treatment I had booked online and provided me with a welcome tour of the beautiful facility. She told me that one characteristic making Estetica Mia unique is their collaboration with Jurlique skin care and beauty. They share the goal to "reconnect people to nature, to honor our role as stewards of our planet, and to invest in the well-being of our clients and team." All of their products come from Jurlique's farm in South Australia where they focus on keeping their items outside of a laboratory and truly natural through biodynamic and sustainable production. Olivia then got me settled and relaxed in the tranquility waiting area with a complimentary offering of hot tea or fruit-infused rosewater and dark chocolate. Before I knew it, my massage therapist Kat greeted me and escorted me to my cozy massage room. This room was exquisite with dim lighting, tile walls, an adjacent full-body shower and sauna, heated massage table, a soothing infuser and relaxing music. Kat went over my paperwork and massage preferences, while remaining very open to feedback and keeping me comfortable. She started the treatment after I derobed, with her gentle and saintlike hands, yet with the skill to get deep into the tight nooks and crannies of my body. I did not want my session to end! The pleasant smells of the oil and other products used lifted my spirits. Now I find myself counting down the days until my next massage. Besides massages, they offer nail care with pedicures and manicures, facials, full body spray tanning (using a completely safe and organic product!), and waxing hair removal. Tours of the spa are free to anyone interested in booking a treatment. Don't be shy! Keep in mind that they are closed Sundays and Mondays for the workers to get their well-deserved rest.

To be clear - the nail service (lavender hour) from Esme is 5 stars. Hand massage was a little light but relaxing, she covers you in all the warm items and the polish is done very well (see photo). She also doesn't talk the entire time which was amazing because it lets you disengage and relax. Highly recommend her. The area where they lose a star (honestly should be two) is the experience outside the room. If you make an appointment at 10am when they open you will be standing outside with other people waiting for them to open. We had to knock on the window to get them to unlock the door. Then with only maybe five minutes left on the service, the receptionist knocked very loudly on the door, in essence waking me up from my relaxation state. She then knocked a minute later and fully opened the door and came in asking when it would be done. It killed the entire relaxation vibe. It was fully unnecessary. When I got back to the front to check out there was an older women who was loudly complaining that her appointment was starting late (not my problem) because of a booking error (also not my problem) and she and the receptionist aired this all out in front of me while I was waiting to pay. She was upset her service was impacted, understandably, but why the receptionist chose to ruin the end of my service on this woman's behalf seemed idiotic. These services aren't cheap, but the behavior certainly was. Long story short, Esme is great, but don't book the first service of the morning, even if it's all they have left.

I had a 90 min massage done by Leilani. It's with no hesitation, the best deep tissue massage I have ever received. I had a lot of knots in my back. Leilani was able to work on my back in such a way that I was not uncomfortable at all. Her massage touch was very intuitive, and I felt extremely relaxed. The hot towel, hot stones, and massage techniques were excellent. The entire atmosphere at the spa was so relaxing. When we went to the massage room, I felt even more relaxed with the music playing, ocean sounds, and the soft lights. Complementary drinks and snacks were offered to me. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
