So... the hotel was very convenient (close to the convention center), which was great. And the bed was very soft and comfy. The decor in the room was a little old fashioned, though. The wallpaper was chipping in corners and the chair looked more like something out of grandmas house then a Hilton. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, though we had to ask for more toilet paper the first day (the rolls were dwindling when we arrived). What really struck me, right as we arrived, was that it smelled like they were constantly spraying air freshener, as if to cover up a toilet odor. (And there was a vague but pretty constant smell underneath the air freshener). And when we got to our room, we found that neighbors across the way had left their room service tray with half eaten food and opened jars of jam/mayo etc on the floor by the door. This tray (and a pizza box and bag of trash two rooms down) stayed there for a day and a half, even when the cleaning lady passed through that morning, it was still there on Saturday night. And Sunday morning there were three more in the hall. It was a little gross. Also: There was no ice maker on the fourth floor. There was never anyone at the cafe downstairs, you had to go looking for an employee to man it. There was no gift shop and hardly any of the usual "things to do in town" flyers that they usually have in hotels (I had to run to the Hyatt to find some). The restaurant was closed the whole time we were there? Aside from all that, the front counter people seemed friendly. Their "store" was very small and didn't have a lot in there, but the guy that finally came to help (again, you have to wait for an employee to notice you there) found me a free comb so I didn't have to buy a $15 bag of toiletries for the one thing we forgot. So at least they have that going for them. Not enough to make me want to come back.

The front desk was awesome. The bar staff were nice but needed two more people to be more efficient for a Niner weekend. Beer pours were awful and the Hazy IPA was flat. They did have a beer cart but maybe could have used another. The 20 ounce cans were a great price for 12 bucks. Better than the bar with plastic cups.

Staying at this hotel was like I time traveled back to 2001 for a hotel stay… and not just the outdated decor, but everything about the stay. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was that the staff I did interact with were friendly and/or apologetic. Here goes the list: the AC was terrible. Rooms are HOT. If you like a cool hotel room don’t stay here. My room wouldn’t get below 74 degrees. The hotel maintenance basically shrugged and said sorry it’s an old ac system. no fridges or microwaves in hotel rooms. What?!? It’s 2022, I can’t remember the last hotel I stayed at a hotel without a mini fridge in the room. the room was outdated in every way possible, gold and brass and brown galore, only electrical outlets and no usb or ports. the TV’s ONLY had basic live tv cable. No streaming channels, no option for HBO Showtime etc., who watches live tv anymore? Huge disappointment that the Tv was unwatchable during my 3 day stay. No free breakfast, no snacks or refreshments, no free coffee or water station in the lobby, seriously there’s nothing! Just an overpriced ‘gift shop’ with sodas, chips, and toiletries for sale.

In conclusion, the people running this hotel must be over 75 years old because they’re missing key features of ALL modern hotels, let alone one that costs $230+ a night!!! I was only staying for work and booked this place as it was close to the convention center, that being said I felt I needed to warn other travelers. I would’ve been better off booking another hotel and taking an Uber to and from the convention center than being stuck at this awful hotel. Serious disappointment and I’m shocked the Hilton chain allows this place to continue operating as it does. Save your money and...

WOW!!! — Let me lay it out for ya REEEALLY good!

I very recently stayed at this location (from 1/3-1/6) due to the flood warnings that were (& still are) in my area.

I went there because it is one of my son’s favorite Hilton & I was able to get on a much higher floor than my place is (which is on the 1st floor), so I felt very safe there.

I can honestly tell you RIGHT now, that was the most WONDERFUL staff that I have ever had at any other hotel, whether the others were a Hilton or not!

Not only did all of them talk to me in a very kind, courteous & respectful manner, but …

… the front desk / check-in manager, Alex was SUPER awesome!!

He was an excellent & very patient listener. He offered me different ways that the hotel could make my stay a LOT less stressful during the storm; especially after the storm had just made the electricity go out, but it came back on not very long after.

Alex made me feel like a super-important dignitary / celebrity. — He went far above what I think that his job description includes.

I was a bit sad though when it was time for me to go back home due to the fact that I never got to meet him; we had only spoken by phone several times.

BELIEVE me when I say… THIS location is nothing to sneeze at & it is VERY beautiful, too — PLUS, my room was directly facing the SF 49er’s stadium; such a great view.

I went back home after my 3-night stay feeling very spoiled and pampered by him and his staff!!

I have learned over the years that no amount of income can make someone pretend to really care about how their customers are treated if they DON’T really care.

Thank you a TON, Alex — You deserve...
