Laemmle Newhall — Attraction in Santa Clarita

This is a nice little theater, overall. the interior is modern and sleek, they have an elevator inside which makes it wheelchair accessible, and they also have great popcorn with a wide selection of snacks. There are (gasp) coca cola drinks here, unlike Regal😒, which is just great. My only complaints are that the theaters are rather small, and with the way the seating is combined with my short height, the chair ahead of me blocked the bottom of the screen for me. the theaters also dont seem to be very well insulated (i could hear a car with a loud engine going by somewhere outside once), and the screens themselves don't seem to be great quality. I'm also disappointed in the selection of movies, as I thought that getting a Laemmle locally meant that there would be screenings of art films/foreign films, but it seems they mainly play mainstream stuff that's already being shown at Regal. Super disappointing. Overall, it's not a bad theater by any means, and I do recommend checking it out if you prefer a more intimate movie going experience. Love this theater! Was our 1st time here. Everyone was super nice & friendly. Talk to you about the movie while you're getting snacks & not the rushing, get your order & get you out of there, to just get the line down. Theater was cute & clean & once inside, much bigger than I thought it was! Sound was great too! Parking was a breeze w/the parking structure & you dont have to pay for parking. Was so nice to not have to deal w/the crowded, chaotic & feel like you have to rush or the parking nightmare, like you have too at the mall. The lobby and upstairs isn’t clean?? There are open boxes around like they’re moving??? There is trash overflowing in the halls & the bathrooms are a mess??? We went to the 8:20 showing of Barbie last night & I know this is an independent chain, but the front hall had papers, trash, stuffed animals & boxes everywhere. The theater itself is clean (hence the 3 stars) but I was surprised to pay $14 for a theater experience that looks like 12-year olds TP’d if.
