While looking for a hotel in the Santa Clarita area, I came upon this hotel very close to the event I was attending. The amenities looked good, but I was more interested in their parking fees' as they were not listed, so I called directly. After a very short hold, I was greeted by a representative, who was very pleasant and answered all my questions, including advising me that they offered "Free Parking". I told him I would go online and make my reservation, I was then very surprised when he offered to book the room for me right then and there, with my confirmation arriving in my email before I even hung up the phone.||Upon arriving to the hotel yesterday at 3pm, I found the parking garage without a problem and plenty of parking(including EV chargers), the entrance to the hotel was just steps away from where we parked. Upon entering the lobby, the décor was very appealing and pleasant giving a very warm feeling. I was greeted immediately by the front desk clerk, she asked me all the usually questions, including our car information, she then went on to tell me exactly what was going to be charged to my credit card and why. She furthermore, gave me a complete list of available things to do inside the hotel, where the bar was, its hours and when the continental breakfast would be served in the morning.||Our room was located on the 2nd floor, so with one short elevator ride, we arrived at our room. Again the décor was very nice and the rooms numbers were large and easy to find.||Entering the room was such a pleasant experience, the king size bed had a colorful runner and besides the regular 4 pillows, the bed was adorned with large colorful pillows, that just made the room pop! The room also came with a small desk, with computer chair and an additional oversized chair to sit on. The bathroom was nicely decorated, with colorful shower curtain, that included a magnifying mirror and blow dryer. Even the display of the towel rack was pleasing to look at. ||The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. ||They offer a pleasant continental breakfast with a coffee machine that includes, mocha's and cappuccino's, along with a juice machine that is available 24 hours day.||The staff was so very kind, answering any questions we had, with a smile.||||The only negative I can give this property... It sits along a railroad line, so when the train comes by it can be a bit loud, but only for a moment or two||||This hotel is a hidden gem, not to...

Read moreThis was our second stay at the Hotel Lexen, a boutique hotel. We came in for the New Year's weekend to visit cousins. We had a good stay the first time and wanted somewhere reliable to rest our heads and were not disappointed.
Staff are polite, helpful and prompt. We were comped parking without even asking, which was greatly appreciated. I am also very happy with how clean and tidy the hotel is, whether it's the lobby, the rooms, elevators and hallways. The beds are comfortable and you're given plenty of pillows. I was extremely impressed with the shower as the panel was very easy to operate (no guess work)! The rooms are well sized and what I consider "Cowboy chic" which is fun. Though I think the closet space could be a little better.
This hotel is on the opposite end of town from Magic Mountain, which wasn't a problem for us at all. I found it to be a lot quieter and easier to manage. You are across the road from a train, which goes by a couple times a night. This didn't bother us but if you're a light sleeper you should take note.
You are within easy reach of some great restaurants and bars on the main drag behind the hotel, too, which is very convenient. Since it was New Year's, there were quite a few parties going on but our previous visit was much quieter. There is a terrace bar that is open on the second floor but it's not loud at all. Some guest rooms have little patios that open out into the terrace so I don't think they can play loud music. Very chill vibes.
Since it's not right next to Magic Mountain, traffic is very manageable if at all present. There is a small parking garage that does fill up towards evening but there is plenty of outside parking right behind, too.
Breakfast is included with your stay. It consists of toast, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, microwave burritos, some prepackaged pastries etc. Juice was available our second day but not on the first. The coffee machine is available 24/7 in the lobby. Typical hotel breakfasts. With the price and vibe of of the hotel (this is a boutique hotel, after all), I was expecting something a little more involved but...
