The Consignment Warehouse — Attraction in Santa Fe

the three stars are for the wonderful items available. some are reasonable prices and some are outrageous. but they do have some really wonderful items. I love what I got there and am sure to shop there again because I am a discerning shopper. however, you don't need to bother to ask for a discount as in most consignments because you will not get one. I got 5% because I paid cash and that's it. several months ago when they were in the former location, I was looking at a desk that had a broken drawer and asked for a discount since I would have to fix the drawer to use it. the blonde woman told me that if I wanted discounts I should go to "what the cat dragged in" to get something for the price I wanted. wow. thanks. made me feel like trash. but given that - I went back because there are some wonderful items for decent prices. I don't think she would even remember that she said that to me because she probably says that to everyone. in fact my friend was with me and said we would get a bit of a discount because we were buying several items. I told him not to bother but he did anyway - and yep - no discount. when I went to the new location (which is wonderful) this week, I found amazing furniture that I felt was priced right and bought it. I spent over $3k that day - which may be peanuts in this store, but we were not offered help to load our items except for $65/hour to just get it out of their store and into their driveway. hey, thanks! (that's sarcasm). today I shopped again at congeries and not only found perfect furniture (they have expanded and the owner has done a terrific job with items) but also got a discount on each item just because I asked. also, congeries had a strong young man able to help load my purchases into the truck. for no charge. so yes, the consignment warehouse has great items that you will love in your home. just be prepared to pay more for loading them into your vehicle...

We sold several pieces through Consignment Warehouse and could not be happier. They were great on scheduling a pick up, worked with us on pricing and kept us updated on progress or proposed pricing changes. We just received a check today for the last of our three items that sold and never had to follow up and check on it. We had tried another consignment shop in Santa Fe with a different item and they made it our duty to follow up monthly. Generally a good array of consignment items, of fairly high quality. Have been here multiple times but this time was the first time we came up with an item we wanted to purchase and the consignment timing process was not followed. This item had been here for 8 months and according to personnel it was a "exception" and that the price was full price. Be wary of this as there are apparently multiple such items and there's no marking whatsoever the distinguishes them. Not the best...
