Health Land Body Spa — Attraction in Santa Monica

Smaller style spa didn't expect much from here. Called to book a last-minute appointment and there was an availability. The location was pretty easy to find. Upon walking into the place it seemed small and not too many amenities were available. Booked the deep tissue couples massage for one hour each. Probably one of the BEST deep-tissue massages I've ever experienced! It definitely made up for everything else there. They actually give you a deep tissue massage, starting with oil and thier hands and then they will walk on your back, legs, and arms while holding onto steel supports above the table you're on. Then they finish with another oiled hand massage and then a hot towel to clean the oil off you. All in all, it was the best massage by far, definitely recommend them! I've been coming to this place for almost a decade now and it's still as wonderful as the first time. This is a no frills, mom and pop shop but if you don't care about frills, this is is the place for you! They give solid massages for a great price, esp for the West side. I always get a deep tissue and they always manage to work through all my knots, and I've had some pretty knotty knots. I usually call for a same day and haven't had any issues getting an appt with my fav masseuse. This place is super professional - they always see you on time, check that you're good with the pressure, and check that all is good once you're paying. First time and this is a straight up no nonsense, no luxury foo foo kind of place. I had the deep tissue treatment and haven’t experienced anything like that before. Ok part of it is the Masseuse stood on me and used her feet at times...yes I was stepped on literally. I wondered what the metal bars on the ceiling were for!
