Theft are in the women's restroom in Santa Monica's shopping centers! I suddenly recall this issue which was more then ten years ago(around 2005 I guess)! My family was window shopping in the shopping mall, and my mom said she wanted to go for the restroom, I said go ahead! She was inside long time, and finally she got out and told us her bag was stolen; I said how come, she told me she hanged her bag on the hook inside the toilet room, and when she finished using the toilet, she found her bag hanged at the corner of the door(apparently somebody from outside the door used some tools to snatch the bag and stole it), she was not paying attention on her bag, and she lost her camera!
That was such a pity, that was such a good day we had a good time in Santa Monica, and the theft really ruined the whole thing! I learn a lesson that is never hanging anything at the hook behind the toilet door!
I wish Santa Monica Police can do something about it! Santa Monica is a nice place which is full of tourists! I recall some suspicious theft in the women's restroom were keep "looking" from inside, maybe that was a sign, but I did not find out at the first place. My mom passed away in 2013, and that camera was really a lost for us, it really filled with memories! I hope Santa Monica Police can really enhance on enforcing laws and stop crimes, otherwise criminals will grow more and more, trust me, you cannot imagine! I hope Santa Monica...
Read moreWell first off it was Memorial Day so it was very busy. My first impression was that it was very dirty, trash everywhere, food all over the ground. Too many people selling things like toys, beach items and food with no regulation and all of them basically selling the same things and each of them making of prices as they go. The line to get to the rides on the pier had over 60 people in it and took us about 45 minutes to get to the front to pay for tickets. The ticket prices varied by what type of ride you picked, so a few rides in the $5 range and a few rides in the $ 8 range and two ride that's cost $10 each and if you picked the ferris wheel you had to buy 2 tickets, no single riders. You also had to fill out an a card with your info so that they could notify you if anyone got covid while you were there. Once we got in, there was no wait to get on the rides and I don't really understand why it took so long to get in. They did have a hand washing station with soap inside by the carnival games which I appreciated very much. To go into the arcade was another long line which I didn't have the patience to stand in. Overall, I would not choose to go to this beach because it's way too satiated with people selling things and way too dirty with trash and debris everywhere. None seems to care at all...
