Surf Style 115: Surf, Swimwear, Sporting Goods in Ft. Walton Beach — Attraction in Santa Rosa Island

Rude, rude, rude!!! On 3/29/2021 at 12:00 noon, I tried to swap a defective pair of sunglasses. We actually purchased them from another Surf Style in Destin a couple of days before but because we were staying on Okaloosa Island, this particular Surf Style store was right across the street and I figured I would at least ask if they could swap them out or if I had to go back to the original store where I bought them. The 2 ladies that were behind the counter were very short with me, they wouldn’t let me ask my question before they cut me off (several times). They had a distinct Indian accent. The first sales associate I approached when I walked in, wouldn’t let me explain and she kept asking me and INSISTING where my sunglasses bag was. I couldn’t figure out what she was talking about. Finally she reached under the counter and pulled out a small blue cheap surf style bag made for sunglasses and said “YOU should have this bag I gave you when you bought them”. I was like “if you will let me finish you would understand that I did NOT purchase these at this particular store and YOU did not give me sunglasses bag”. Then I was rudely told I would have to see the “manager” who was checking out other customers. So I got in the line. When I spoke with the “manager” she also would not let me explain or ask my question. She accused me, in front of other customers waiting in line , of dropping the sunglasses and purposely tearing them up. I was so frustrated and mad that I just told her to forget it and that I would take them back to the original store in Destin like I should have done. I wasn’t going to be treated that way over an $18 pair over overpriced cheaply made sunglasses and they could have just told me I had to go back to the original store. Unfortunately, I was also planning on purchasing several tshirts from them but they apparently didn’t need the business. I stay down here quite a bit and I will NOT be going back to this particular store. There’s too many others nearby that have been a lot nicer than...

Manager, RACQUEL, has a VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We came in looking at buying presents, souvenir for family and friends back home. My sister and her husband were looking at this small hat for dogs and chuckling saying how cute it was. RACQUEL, came up to them and with attitude, grabbed the item and said “if you’re not buying this, i’ll take it!” Seriously??? Assumed that her customers were not buying the item? Was it the hot weather, Racquel, with that attitude?? I stepped up and had to tell her her customer service attitude sucks talking to her customers like that! We started going back and forth. She started talking about us to her cashiers, who were actually nice, who im pretty sure did not learn how to treat their customers from her. We bought a total of around $400 items from that store. I was willing to just walk away and not gave them our business, but the children spent so much time looking and trying on stuff so we did anyway. But we will never go back to this store. We were disrespected by this manager. Im sure we werent the only ones who experienced this. She has to remember, that store, her job, is existing because of...

Do not waste your time here. I went in this morning with my wife. 2 workers or whatever pronoun you choose to use, saw us walk in and stared at both of us and not say a word.... My wife got some seashell chandelier and walked to the register where these 2 girls were working. After being ignored I asked if they are open. One girl says "No" the other said you can't check out here.... As we turn to walk to the other side of the store another employee of the month was pushing a cart with merchandise on it, and all this guy did was stare me down as if I was invading his cubicle in prison. I looked at him expecting a friendly hello and all I got was a stare down. Horrible service. I wouldn't go there if this was the last shop on the island. I would recommend getting a root canal before I would recommend this place. I'd be willing to bet the only positive reviews on this place come from its own employee or their families and friends. Not worth it. Go somewhere that will at least acknowledge...
