Waterscape Condos - Fort Walton Beach Vacation Rentals by Vacasa — Hotel in Santa Rosa Island

Right on the beach, plenty of parking, very nice condos , we had 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, utensils, plates, pots ,pans, laundry room in each condo.we had 2 n they both were great, Beds were so comfortable, had a small living room to entertain other family, sliding glass doors to lead to a balcony of our own, then large pool to swim,chairs for bathing all provided. The pool, its warm from the sun, but still cools you off after sunbathing, or jus relaxing in pool. You have a heated pool also next to swimming pool for more, and of course the beach , Ft Walton Beach was Great, lots of seaweed tho if youre interested in knowing, but there is a walking deck from condos, with a hose to rinse off, it worked some days, but it was a more tourist Island, Waterscape condos is a large place n 5 stories high, a parking garage access , lots of loud music tho, partying, each day n night, but most are respectful of timing if you ask, tho few they jus came to want to party day n nite. If youre not into lots of people partying, and on beach then i wouldnt suggest this Island period. Its a Party town Island, not alot of room on the beach to have large family or privacy till after sunset . Over all tho for my opinion of the cond very nice, everything we needed was there, friendly staff , price was higher end for what it was, the other ed of town was probably calmer, less congested of people, preplan, investigate your options, and the type of community around. Even the other hotels are higher range for lower star hotels due to it being a island to party. I didn't make arrangements so, ... ... Had I, I definitely would have drove to another part like last time, dont take 1st place you see, cause its directly on the beach. I loved Clearwater, totally different experience n more for children to see n enjoy too. There , its not alot of family things except the Museum, Adventure park, the Pier, fishing , Boat fishing tourism, n the basic pools n Beach. Which is all fun, its expensive for anything there, except the pier, n the beach or pool, not alot to keel a family coming back😌😅 for yearly adventureS n family fun either. We loved our stay here. The only couple of things that we did not like, was that some people never took there carts back down to the bottom floor like they were supposed to. There were a couple of times when we went to go get into the elevator to head to the beach or the pool, there were some black carts in the middle of the hall. We didn't have one when we needed it one day, because they were up on the second floor. Also, the bedding on the beds, and even the couch did not appear to be clean, nor did they smell clean. This is one thing that is absolutely unacceptable and it can breed extremely bad germs for hygiene and diseases. The one bed I slept in has a box spring that was crushed, and the pillow cases smelled horrible and so did the shams. We were totally grossed out. We could not wash anything the first night because we were exhausted from the drive. However, we should not have to, nor should anybody have to worry about washing any of the linen before you even lay down on the bed. I also highly suggest that pillows get replaced as well. They were dirty looking, and extremely stained with nasty yellow spots. For how much was paid on the rental, and for every single guest that rents here, ALL LINEN SHOULD BE WASHED, SANITIZED AND CLEAN, AND the pillows really NEED REPLACING!!! As far as the cleanliness of everything else, it all appeared to be clean. I do hope that they do sanitize items such as remotes, toilets and countertops, and also door handles, cupboard and drawer handles and remote controls. I we did like that security did walk around and were checking arm bands. The pool and hot tubs were clean and overall, we had a great time. We do suggest if you want to be beachfront and get the best spot while you visit the beach, to reserve your seats in advance. Although you do get 2 free chairs with the room, you do have to pay to reserve them for whatever area you want to sit in. It is done on a first come first serve basis for being able to have your seats in an area...

Long review coming so hold on. I'll rate the facilities first. We stayed in room A222. Facilities are good. Parking deck is confusing which we were informed of going in. We arrived late at night. When we parked there was a security guard walking around and he was very helpful in telling us where to move in order to be closer to our room. Like that for two reasons. One security late at night is always a good thing. Two he was extremely helpful. Very pleased about that. Rooms are pretty good. A little dirty when we arrived. I wouldn't complain but they asked in their survey specifically about how clean was the room when we arrived. We noticed that our balcony light was blown. Vacasa called the next morning to see how our stay was going. Wife mentioned the light and someone fixed it promptly. Good 👍. It was a long walk from our room and most rooms to the beach. But we knew that going in so not a negative thing. Just a heads up. Pools, hot tubs and playgrounds are all maintained well. BUT!!!! And there's always a BUT. This place was Ungodly Crowded! We went mid October and it was slammed. I can't imagine how bad it'd be in the summer. Pools and hot tubs were packed from the time they opened until closing at 10pm. Beach chairs were included with our room and we didn't use them. Cram packed on top of others and just waaaaay too many people in too confined space. We bought chairs and walked way down the beach and set up. Even at night the beach was packed. If a quiet relaxing beach getaway is what you're looking for this ain't your place. But one positive is there are several AWESOME restaurants within walking distance. And the marina and pier if you're a fisherman and need tackle. To sum it up. We were pleased with the facilities. ...
