I'm so disappointed in this store lately. My first disappointment was when I came in on Saturday to get 20 gallons blown up. Knowing it would take awhile for them to be blown up I went to that area first. No one was there the ladies in the bakery were kind enough to page someone. After 15 minutes and no one showing up they paged someone for me again. I asked for 20 happy birthday balloons I was informed they dident have anymore birthday balloons. I went and found a bag of 20 and asked for those to be blown up she informed me I would have to pay for the bag of balloons on top of the $.99 for the helium at this point I dident care I needed the balloons for my sons birthday party that was in 2 hours. I asked her if I could go pay for them now since I was in a rush I was told she dident know if I could do that. Fine I told her I'd be going to grab a few things and would be right back. When I returned 30 minutes later I saw only 2 balloons blown up. She informed me she ran out of helium and was not sure how long it would take to bring in a new tank. While waiting a man appeared and decided to turn this into a training session and talk about other irrelevant topics while I was standing there. After he finally went to get the tank. She asked me if I just wanted the two balloons since I was in a rush. I explained no I needed 20. I waited another 20 minutes and the man never appeared with the tank and the girl had left the balloon area. I called Country market in dexter they informed me they had helium and balloons and it would be $.50 a piece I went there and they had them done in 10 minutes. Then most recent I went to drop off a prescription they informed me they did not have the medication but could have it tomorrow. I left the prescription and called today. I was informed they had no record of that prescription being dropped off. I called my doctor they sent via the e system. I waited 30 minutes and called and was yet again informed they had nothing for me. I asked if they had the medication in and was told they did not but if someone ordered it it just hasent come in yet. When I asked if she could find out if it was ordered she said no. So now I have no idea if my medication can even be filled and they have zero record of it ever being dropped off. Needless to say this is the last straw for me. I spend at least $200 a week there in groceries when they have stuff in stock and I will no longer be coming to this location. Customer service sucks and they hardly have anything stocked anymore not to mention the long lines to checkout.
Update- just went to pick up my prescription they never ordered the medication so now I have to wait yet again for them to order it to...
Read moreDear meijer Guests, our friendly neighborhood meijer pharmacy and gas station suffer from a severe lack of training and accountability. I have three stories for you today of them, insisting I wait upwards of an hour. First we'll talk about the pharmacy. Seven people staffing one register, cannot stop to listen to questions for the pharmacist. I was put on vitamins for a severe deficit and after refusing to dispense the doctor prescribed medicine they also refuse to tell me the doses, saying they don't exist. One quick phone call reveals one of the many lies. I go home and call the pharmacy to complain and they magically know the doses. Second I arrive to the gas station, and I have many stories about negligence at the gas station, but after waiting twenty minutes they but the money on the wrong pump. I go in to have it switched but apparently, that's not something they can do. After an another fifteen I return inside to find out they couldn't put it on the pump, so the man finally decides to get the manager (who admitted to doing personal slow downs if her staff calls off on another occasion.) Again my time not important. Last of all I go into meijer with my friend with a medical condition. After we find all our merchandise we go to checkout. Apparently the item is not scanning into the system. The operator tells my friend to walk and go find another exacerbating his condition. We grab another of the item, and it still doesn't scan. And he finally decides to call someone after I insist I'm In a rush because I don't have time for him to figure it out himself if he doesn't know. So the manager comes over takes one look at us and walks the other way.
After calling each time, the store director or whom I was told was the store director, denied that I had gone through any of it. Said he'd have to go ask them their side of the story. Regularly this company takes over thirty minutes to get one item and it's absurd.
I talk to my neighbors and they have similar problems. This meijer lacks accountability when they wrong a customer, lacks urgency, and lacks any compassion about health or...
Read moreUsually have no problem with this meijer but an employee shocked me this evening. Was about 9:20pm this evening and my fiancé and I were looking to buy some toys for some kids! We went over to the cheap balls section - where they are all piled on top of eachother selling for 2-3 dollars each. Naturally, these cheap products can easily be defective! To make sure before I bought, I took a ball out, bounced it to her, she bounced it back, and we put it away. We were about 5 feet apart. Then, I grabbed a mini football. Before I had the chance to do a little toss to her to see if it flew like a real ball, a lady working at meijer, must’ve been AT LEAST 10 isles away watching us from the beauty section, very passive aggressively yells over to us asking if we “need any help”. I was a bit confused but politely declined. Before turning around to continue what I was I was then yelled the question on whether or not I want security to kick me out of the store and to put the football away! Mind you there is nobody in a 100 ft proximity of us. I was absolutely shocked by this question and overall customer service from this particular lady. I didn’t get her name but her politeness was non existent, it seemed as if she was almost trying to instigate something with me, as if I were a child playing in the store. I politely put the football back and walked away but again, I was absolutely shocked with the poor customer service and manners of this particular employee. Go work at Walmart if you want to act like that, it doesn’t belong in meijer. Nevertheless, my shopping experience here is always on par, but this lady put a dent in what I think of the good customer service of meijer...
