I want to speak of my observations and comments that have been made from employees from Starbucks particularly the Starbucks on Zeeb Rd and the incompetent manager Heather. When the manager Tim was there the employees worked well together. Tim knew how to manage and how to teach employees their jobs. Heather on the other hand doesn’t even know how to make Starbucks drinks so she is unable to help when staff is shorthanded. Everyone knows Starbucks is all about the drinks. On one particular night she chose to close the store early at 5 pm instead of the normal closing hour of 8:30 pm due to a personal issue with one of her employees. The district manager Mae came in and together they chose to close the store due to “too much negativity”. No warning to the patrons, no note on the door stating the store was closed that they would not be able to get their Starbucks that night. I would suspect that is against corporate policy to just close a store because the manager Heather has a personal issue with an employee. Since Heather started “managing” the Starbucks on Zeeb Rd she has been targeting certain long term employees to either get them to quit (which several have because they are not allowed to transfer to a different Starbucks) Employees who loved their job at Starbucks have been forced to make a choice to leave on their own or wait for Heather to find anything she can on an employee to get them fired. One has already recently been fired because Heather thought this employee said something negative about her. Another has a “case” brought against her from Heather due to lateness which Heather has gone back months to document the tardiness instead of at the time it happened. Another has a case against her for the same reason. When I met Heather for the first time as a customer she was extremely indifferent and was taking up a seat in the lobby on her laptop maybe she was working on a Starbucks project she sure wasn’t managing. You would think as an older woman Heather would want to mentor these young women instead it appears she gets joy out of breaking their spirit. I do believe an investigation needs to made against Heather for targeting her longest and hardest...
Read moreAs a frequent visitor to my fair share of Starbucks locations I can truthfully say that this was one the most painless coffee retrieval experiences that I have had as of recently.
I live in an area where there aren't a lot of coffee options so venturing out to a Starbucks location by me almost always entails at least a thirty minute wait—which for most is a painfully long time to wait in a drive thru. Of course this all depends on when you decide you want to make a coffee run as busier times, always mean longer waits. But I can accurately estimate that there has only been a handful of times that I have waited less than thirty minutes in the drive thru line at a Starbucks (mostly by me, but at other locations as well).
With that being said, like many of the Starbucks reviews that I have written, I cannot speak on the innards of this location as I have only every taken a trip through the drive thru. But what I can say is that not only are the employees here very friendly, but also accurate when it comes to receiving what you've ordered. But wait, there's more! I'm sure a Sunday evening isn't a time where most people would be yearning to fulfill their daily Starbucks quota, and that's perfectly fine but I was nearby so I said "hey why not?". To my complete surprise, there was maybe like three or so cars in line before me, and I think I literally waited no more than five minutes from the point of waiting in line to sipping on my coffee. By far the fastest I've made it through a Starbucks drive thru since what seems like forever.
This location is also mushed into an area with many other offerings, whether it be groceries, lunch, miscellaneous shopping, etc. You have access to all of these things, as well as getting your daily caffeine fix—all in one convenient area. Yay for adulting, and yay to you for doing what you do.
When all is said and done, I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for friendly and overall quick accurate...
Read moreI went to get coffee for myself and my co-workers last Saturday, a total of 5 beverages. When all my drinks were up, I asked for a drink carrier. They said they didn't have any. So I asked for a box or some way to carry my drinks out, and they said didn't have one. Obviously, I can't carry 5 large hot drinks out, so stood there perplexed by how they made zero effort to help me get the $25 worth of drinks I just bought from them out of the door.
Finally, someone offered a 2 cup carrier. But, still having only 2 hands and 5 drinks, it was only slightly helpful, eap since it didn't have a handle. Then she offered me a second one! I wondered why it took so much effort for me to get this very basic assistance. The holders didnt work well, but I was happy to get any help from them at this point, since they were completely void of that skill.
So, I attempted to carry two, two cup drink holders, that didn't have handles, and the 5th drink in my other hand. I managed to get out of the door and to my car, when the bottom fell out of the drink holder and one of the coffees spilled EVERYWHERE. So, I carefully set my other drinks in my car, and went back in. They weren't pleased to see me, but remade the coffee. I again, pleaded with them to see if they had a box of some sort that I could carry all the drinks in so I could get them into my work safely. Finally, someone went in the back and found a box and gave it to me.
I'm sad that it took that much effort to get simple accommodations that everywhere else gives to their customers. I work in customer service, and wouldn't dream of telling someone I dont have a bag or something for them to carry their purchase in that couldn't possibly fit in their hands. I'll never go...
