TL:DR - Staff are lukewarm toward customers, always seem to be scrambling, delays and/or errors in orders, and they don't seem to reinforce some if their own COVID protections with customers. Gave an additional star because food is consistent in flavor and quality, not excellent but better than fast food. I will not return to this location.
I have had several frustrating experiences at this Panera location. As noted by another reviewer, staff are not rude but not necessarily "friendly" either. The impression I get is they are working hard and saying the right things, but don't really have an attitude of service excellence, more "going through the motions".
They have large signs in the doors and the floor showing customers that traffic is supposed to be one-way (due to COVID-19). Sadly, no one seems to follow this, I have had people in my face trying to exit as I'm trying to walk in - unfortunate no one seems to care about others, but frustrating the staff do not seem to reinforce this either.
My experience today was disappointing. I ordered in the app for pick up and received a text at 8:52 AM. I went in, and the same thing happened with someone almost running into me going out the entrance. My order was not on the pick up shelf, so I went down to the pick up counter. I stood politely but no one would acknowledge me, they all seemed very frantic and disorganized with orders piling up. I watched 2 individuals getting orders together and then I saw that they were getting my order. I spoke up and told them it was mine - this was at 9:06 AM, almost 15 min later.
I understand that businesses get busy, I have worked in several businesses where customer service is critical and there are very busy times you have to manage. In those cases, don't inform a customer an order is ready when it is not.
When I received the food, I realized that it was ready when I got the text, but it sat behind the counter because they were not organized- my toasted bagel was cold, and my iced coffee had a layer of water on top from ice melting.
Overall very disappointing, I will not return to...
Read moreHad an awful experience tonight ordering with an extremely rude cashier. Reve, was the name on my receipt but she was wearing a hoodie over her work shirt so I could not see a name tag. Walked up to as she rudely shouted “are you ready to orde?!.” My friends and I replied “yes” to her walking up, we took a second too long to walk forward I guess because we were rudely asked, “are you not actually ready?” We apologized and tried to lighten the mood but were met with angry glares and obviously annoyed sighs. She was extremely blunt making us move along our order all while taping her nails and rolling her eyes if we took too long to respond. She didn’t ask if we wanted the $.99 pastry so when we mentioned it she huffed and forceably typed it into the system. I was told that the sandwich I requested was “out!” And when I faltered to figure out what I wanted instead she mouthed something that my friend caught and then put her hands on her hips, asking me “what do you want?” She was then informed by kitchen that they can do my requested sandwich so she didn’t even ask if I still wanted it but went ahead and punched it into computer. When I went back to order a half dozen bagels before leaving she watched me walk up, left and walked over to a co-worked and whispered in his ear all while staring directly at me. Making me extremely uncomfortable. I ordered my bagels and she tossed them into a bag without asking if I wanted them sliced but at this point I was so uncomfortable that I walked away without asking for them to be sliced. I will be rethinking going to an actual cashier next time I visit this location. I normally like to go to a person because kiosks are slowly taking away jobs but I’d make an exception if I see this woman at the...
Read morePanera always has good food. Since moving to the new location, The place looks awesome and I love the dining area. The rapid drive thru is also a great feature for quick pick ups without going inside. However, the drive thru people need some more training on checking bags not only for the food that was ordered, but that it's packaged neatly. This morning I got a bagel and a muffin tossed into one small bag, then covered in the butter and cream cheese packages (what I'm worried about here is that people have had their hands all over the packages, which is now on my bare food). Getting only a bagel and a muffin and a hot chocolate I expected it to be much quicker as I was on my way to work, but the man working the drive thru was not paying attention when my bag and drink came up and were just sitting by the window while he talked to his coworker. The drive thru should be for speed and efficiency, especially when I ordered ahead. Another note, this goes for any panera, don't expect good soup...
