really liked a khaftaan a friend of mine was wearing at a recent function so I went to Mirage Sarees looking for the outfit...couldn't find the exact same thing but purchased a variation of it in a different color...had tried it on at the store but the lining inside the khaftaan was a bit snug...they suggested using their alterations person but I opted to just make the purchase and use my seamstress...keep in mind I had to really rummage through their selection of khaftaans to find the right size and one that wasn't damaged as most of their outfits had slight imperfections...could be why there was a 30% off sign above that particular section...got home that night and noticed several spots on the khaftaan resembling an oily substance...called the next day and after being raked over the coals and instructed to email pics to them was finally told to bring the outfit back to the store for an exchange since they have a final sale policy...I live a good 30 miles away so I informed them I'd go there the next day as it was already close to 2pm and I had another engagement to attend that evening...what ensued the next day was reprehensible...the associate that I spoke to on the phone wasn't there but the staff was aware of the situation...store employee Kinari accused me of wearing the outfit and trying to return it even though she was at the store when I made the purchase two days prior and she had knowledge of the liner dilemma...naturally I was infuriated especially when I pointed out that the tags were still intact on the khaftaan...she went as far to suggest that because they were in the back I could've still worn the outfit...Kinari not only lacked customer skills but her entire demeanor was a complete turn off...she continued to argue with me about the khaftaan being worn...was FINALLY able to just exchange the damaged khaftaan (after several grueling minutes of being interrogated) for a different one and make my way out of there...I thought the customer is always supposed to be right...never ever again will I return to Mirage Sarees...aside from the unpleasant experience with Kinari the two or three staff members present were dismissive of my experience as they intervened between Kinari and myself...the owner is familiar with me so I asked for Kinari's name and suggested that I leave my name and number so that I could have a word with the owner...one of the associates advised me to "just let it go"...had to coax them into providing me with a piece of paper to jot my information down on...there's no doubt in my mind that the owner would never recieve my note or hear about Kinari'slavk of tact which is why I decided to write this review...Mirage Sarees does have quite a large selection of Indian outfits and accessories reasonably priced but I'm taking by business elsewhere...never ever again doing business at this place and weird how all of the reviews on the facebook page with low star ratings don't have an...
Read moreI don't ever do reviews but I definitely had to for this business because of their exceptional customer service and attention to detail. My mother and I visited this store on Saturday, 03.23, and we were met with nothing but patience, kindness, and warmth from the moment we walked into the door until the time we left. Me and her both needed to find traditional Inidan dresses for my friend's wedding ceremony. We were completely lost regarding what sizes we needed, what we were looking for, etc. All of the ladies that worked in there were amazing!! They made sure that we were provided with clothing that suited our desires, as well as helped us follow the dress code rules that the bride set for the guests. We had to travel two hours to this store because there aren't really any stores where we live that sell traditional clothing. Before we arrived to Atlanta, we had already planned to stop at several stores just in case we didnt find what we were looking for. We were the first customers that arrived to the store. Mirage Sarees ended up being our first and last stop and we're ecstatic that it was. There's a reason that this business has such a high rating and great reviews and I strongly suggest that anyone that needs to find traditional clothing, look no further. The clothes are beautiful with a good variety to choose from. When we went, they had great sales going on for everything (jewelry, clothing, etc). Everything was reasonably priced, even the alterations that my mother needed for her gown. Without a doubt, they've gained lifelong customers out of us. The atmosphere is one we will never forget, as it was nothing short of positivity, honesty, and love, even to the point that it rubbed off on pretty much any customer that walked in there. We were left with hugs, warm good byes, happy wallets, beautiful merchandise and smiles. Thank you ladies for all that you do and keep doing what you're doing! Great customer service means more to people than you know. It will literally make or break the atmosphere of a trip and someone's day. Bless you all. We...
Read moreMirage Sarees did a great job with helping me find the perfect lehenga for a Sangeet and they also were able to quickly mend another lehenga that I had brought in for them. I was able to not only purchase but get alterations on the blouse I purchased within a couple of days. The staff there were all very helpful in finding an appropriate color and style for a wedding on short notice and for someone who is not south Asian.
I have bought traditional Indian clothing online before and comparatively this was an effortless, worry-free and easy experience. You’re not always certain of the product you will receive from an online purchase, but at Mirage I was able to make sure that I liked the style of outfit that was picked, and there were many options for me to choose from. The opportunity to have in person expertise to help me make my decision and alter to a size that was appropriate for me was most valuable. It provided me great reassurance that the outfit that I left with was perfect for me and for this occasion and the amount of time it took to find this outfit was minimal compared to my other shopping experiences in this arena.
This was a very helpful experience and I would recommend this store to anyone seeking Indian clothing for any occasion in the greater...
