St. Peter's Cathedral — Attraction in Scranton

I attended 4PM mass at the Immaculate Conception church in Scranton,Pa last Saturday, 10-14-23. Arriving early, I was totally appalled by the lack of respect for the Lord prior to Mass. Inside the church, as I was trying to concentrate on my prayers, the noise was overwhelming! It sounded like a social gathering, with people conversing loudly! I was brought up to respect the church and the Lord by maintaining silence. Couldn’t all those people congregate outside of the main church, maybe in an adjoining hall?! Very distracting and disrespectful.
