I have never been so disappointed in a company. My husband and I bought a dining room set and a bureau from Cardi's in Seabrook at the end of last year (writing this review has been on my to-do list for a while now). Their customer service is appalling. I called multiple times only to be left on hold for over 30 minutes and then hung up on as soon as it was my turn or forced to leave a message when I didn't want to since no one ever called me back the time before. I ended up leaving two voice messages over a couple month's time and was NEVER called back. I also emailed and no one ever returned my emails.
We ended up going into the store itself just so we could talk to someone and get things sorted out and waited 30 minutes for the manager to get back. After figuring things out with him, we left thinking that everything was figured out, except we didn't actually receive the refund he said we would. I tried calling the store directly. Their phone system is not user friendly. There's no way to speak to a real person. I left a message at the store and once again was never called back. I finally reached out to the salesperson who spoke to her manager. After that, we received PART of the refund we were promised.
The manager Jason said we would be receiving a partial refund for the dining room set we bought as the store participates in price matching and it was currently cheaper than what we paid for it... to this day we still never received this refund. I didn't expect to get any money back from the dining room set we had already bought, but if someone (especially a manager of a store) says that's their policy then that's what I expect to happen. I contacted the salesperson we worked with since I had her direct number and she said Jason would call us to get everything sorted out. He never called. That was back in February and after dealing with this situation and terrible customer service for FOUR MONTHS, I gave up and decided to write this review instead.
On top of the extremely unhelpful and difficult-to-reach customer service representatives, the company who came to our house to deliver and set up our dining room set were extremely rude, unprofessional, and left without inspecting their work. They didn't wear masks even though we were told they would be. My husband found a frayed, sharp metal wire sticking out of the table and had to call Cardi's for a replacement. This, of course, meant being on hold for incredibly long amounts of time.
I caution anyone buying from Cardi's to think twice before doing so. The amount of time and energy it took wasn’t even close to being worth it. Do yourself a favor, and go...
Read moreFor the most part it was a nice experience; shopping, the sales associate named Bill was very helpful, low key, no pressure, did not hover over us while looking but came right over if we had a question. After going to Jordan's, Bernie and Phyls, and many other smaller locations it was nice to be able to shop without being hounded. Ended up purchasing a nice livingroom set, the delivery was scheduled for a couple days later which was great... now to the bad part. Got a text the night before the delivery your furniture will be there between 10 and 1. The delivery day: after 1:30 called the help line and was told their was a problem with one of the trucks furniture will be there at 2:30, ok issues happen... 3pm call back, oh they were short staffed due to someone being out sick... it's on its way, 5pm start to call again but the driver called were 30 mins out. Ok they get here and the delivery guys were very nice, was talking to them about the issues the help desk told us about, the delivery guys said I'm not sure what they told you but you were a late add. So dont be surprised if the help desk has no good information. The guys get the furniture in and go to leave and I went to put the reclining chair in place... it's the wrong chair it's manual not reclining. So the delivery guys said I have to call and check in we will tell them it's wrong and I'm going to do it with you listening. The dispatch people blamed it on sku numbers, bad product descriptions to the warehouse guys picking it wrong (I'm not 100%sure I didn't get the floor model and not a new set like I paid for because the floor display was the exact setup they sent me with the manual and not the power recliner.) Anyway they sent out the correct recliner 2 days later. What a cluster the delivery was... most of it was the lack of communication. So my advice,if your items are delayed call them and have them call and check to with the delivery people to see how long the delay is, if there is something wrong have the delivery guys call their post delivery check in on speaker phone and in front of you so you can relate any issues (be respectful no one needs to get yelled at and it helps nothing) so in store 5 stars, delivery 3 stars so I averaged it out to 4. Would I buy from...
Read moreI walked into Cardi’s three years ago with my wife. I was just looking, but I walked by a living room set that I really liked. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the sofa table. When I walked in I was approached by sales people. I told him I was just looking and they let me do just that they never bothered me. After I found the living room set that I liked. I asked the sales person if I could get it with a different sofa table and he said yes I ended up purchasing the set. They offered me an extended warranty. I decided to buy it as I usually do, but I never use it even if I need it, which is kind of foolish. However, this time after about a year, I was having issues with the main couch. The leather had torn in a couple spots. The power recliner wasn’t working properly so I contacted Cardi’s. I believe they left myself or my wife a message, to be honest at the time it wasn’t a priority. I also felt like I would get a run around and didn’t want to deal with that. A year and 1/2 - 2 years later the couch was getting worse. I filled out the form on their website. I explained my issue with the couch. I honestly didn’t think they would do anything for me because we waiting too long. I believe either later that day or the next day they called and left me a voicemail. I returned the call. They want to set up a pick up within two days unfortunately I was going on vacation so I had to put it off for 10 days. We scheduled it for when I got back. They showed up just like they said they would. They took the parts of the couch that were damaged. They had told me I’d have it back in a week. A week later, they showed up at my house with a brand new couch. They didn’t bother repairing the old couch. The new couch is just like the old one, except for some of the options were updated. I couldn’t be happier with Cardi’s. They did everything they said they would do in the time they said they would do it. After this experience, I couldn’t imagine myself ever buying furniture from anyone other than Cardi’s and I will always purchase the extended warranty and make sure I take advantage of it in the...
