The beach was really nice - and they sold a limited number of day passes through Viply, so day trippers can have access to the beach (our motel had season passes available). When we went last month social distancing on the beach was good, even on a Saturday. The beach access staff were friendly and most were wearing masks (the lifeguards were not, in contrast to those we’ve seen in CT, RI and MA over the Covid-19 summer, who at least wore them when moving). But if you’re coronavirus aware the boardwalk was appalling - only 20-30% of people were wearing masks (social distancing was good, though). Even local police and “code enforcement” officers were not wearing masks, which sets a bad example. I saw some vendors allowing people who were not wearing masks into their shops. And during a boardwalk concert hardly anyone was wearing a mask (or distancing). We left as soon as we could. Where is the respect for each other?! I’d only go back after the Covid-19 crisis is over. There are safer places to visit.

Where to start? I’ll never return to this beach! First, there is someone making announcements that can be heard throughout the beach and boardwalk. This guy harassed beach goers every 20 minutes or so to “remind beach goers that there is no glass or alcohol allowed on the beach.” EVERY 20 minutes or so! It was extremely annoying. Word to announcer: we heard you the first time and those who bring in glass or alcohol aren’t going to repent because you “remind them every 20 minutes or so!” Secondly, this very same announcer lied to the entire beach! I was there on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, and the beach was closed because of a passing storm which had lighting. The announcer claimed that the beach would remain closed because there was a second “cell” (storm) behind the first. I immediately looked at the forecast and there was no such storm. The weather predicted the storm we got at 5:00 PM, and then sunny skies shortly after. Sure enough, after the 20 minute storm the skies cleared up and the sun came out in full. So much so that they opened up all the rides before 6:00 PM. Do the math. We paid a one time fee to get on the beach, so they closed it for their convenience, but the continuous money making rides were opened back up immediately. The announcer lied so that his friends (coworkers) working the beach could leave early since they wouldn’t be making any more money on the beach, but immediately opened the rides to make more money. This was beyond unethical for people traveling from so far away to have their day ruined because of a liar! Lastly, we had ice in our cooler that we intended to use in our cups to keep the juice and soda cold. That plan went out the window when we were entering the beach and employees stated they had to search for alcohol, put their disgusting hands all throughout the ice in our cooler, contaminating all the ice. Lastly, don’t waist your time or money in this garbage place. Their are many places that have more respect for the...

This is the best beach in the world to me, although since the storm and fire it has changed a bit. My heart ❤️ is still connected to this beach boardwalk. They still have that pizza place with the big slices, all the food is great there. This place is located on the right side of the boardwalk. It’s actually the start of the boardwalk at the beginning. The rides are now all on the left side but the have some really good ones. You can still have a great time there. The still have lots of games you can play and win prizes. I have always taken my children here for weekends at a time because you just can’t go for one day to get the whole experience. Although, sometimes we will go down for the day everyday for that week when the sun goes down a little; if we are going on the beach than we will go early. The beach here is great and you have to pay a small price to use it, but all the way down to the right outside the amusement area is another part to the beach which is free, but it doesn’t have lifeguards so it’s not as safe. The only thing that changed about Seaside since I was younger is the fact that they now have clubs down there. No worries your family is still safe because there is no drinking on the board walk or beach 🏖 the cops 👮‍♀️ look out for things like that so everyone is comfortable. All and in this is still one of my favorite places. I hope other people enjoy this place as much as my...

Went to this beach as a recommendation from a friend and boy lemme tell you "I will never go back to this beach ever again..." Aside from the fact that I saved a stranger and her daughter's life from drawing this beach is horrible there's no lifeguard in site, the beach is shallow so when you think someone's playing when their screaming for help chances are they really need help ... A lady and her 3 daughter's was screaming for help everyone was standing around looking thinking they was playing but when I seen the look in her kids eyes I knew she needed help and jumped in the water to save her bringing her and her child to shore where I was helped by other bystanders..... Now I will never go back to this beach ever again but as a warning to others thinking about coming here please be mindful that the beach is "VERY SHALLOW" and when you think your close to the show you're really not so "DO NOT" leave your kids unattended at all it is VERY DANGEROUS and if someone is screaming for help even though they look very close to the shore and you think all they have to do is stand up chances are THEY REALLY NEED HELP AND THEY ARE...
