This is a weird one for me because I really enjoyed the pizza and have no qualms about the high rating I'm giving this place, but at the same time...I'm not really surprised that a lot of people didn't like it. Three Brothers was the final stop that my noble chum posse made last Saturday night after a people-watching expedition on the Seaside boardwalk. It was a very impulsive decision (I suspect that's usually the case) spurred on by one of my chums having a strong desire for some deep fried Oreos. After those had been ordered though, I thought the pizza looked so visually appealing that I immediately requested a plain slice. Was I hungry? Not particularly. Was I possibly a little inebriated? Maybe slightly. But only to the point where I was impulsively eating boardwalk pizza.
Even taking into account that I very well may have looked upon this entire experience with rose-tinted lenses (which certainly sounds classier than beer goggles), the pizza WAS really good. I'm very snobby about my pizza generally and usually despise cheap by the slice pies like this (for instance, I don't like Ray's in the city. Never did it for me.), but I thought this was very tasty. It wasn't noticeably greasy, which is often my issue with this pizza genre and it was GIGANTIC. It was easily twice the size of a normal slice, and verged on novelty sized. I devoured most of it within a few minutes, but the crust looked a little mediocre to me so I didn't bother with the calories. And for the record, I'd consumed a legit dinner less than two hours earlier so I could afford to be picky, all other evidence to the contrary. I also sampled two of the deep fried Oreos, which are always delicious and a good time. I think the only way you can really mess them up is if you leave them in the deep fryer for a ridiculous amount of time, and that didn't happen. A scrumptious way to end the evening.
The service was fine. I don't recall noticing a particularly long wait, and while most of the young pups manning the boardwalk counters don't exactly look thrilled to be there, we definitely didn't encounter negative attitudes or anything like that.
The experience was made even more memorable by running into a weird TikTok trend - a group of college-age girls dressed as different famous Joes, including Joe Exotic and my personal favorite, Joe Mama. It was very Seaside. And mildly embarrassing that a member of the posse knew it was a TikTok trend.
It's entirely possible that in the cold, sober light of day I might have had a lower opinion of Three Brothers, but in the moment it certainly...
Read moreSadly, I will never ever visit this establishment ever again!! I was staying in Seaside Heights, NJ from August 7th to August 10th and purchased food from them literally every day that I was there. On our last day I purchased two meals from them and my nephew, who doesn't eat anything they had to offer on their menu, got a hotdog and fries from the stand across from Three Brothers. Now, if they sold hot dogs we would've purchased all three meals there but unfortunately they didn't and my two year nephew needed to eat. We sat down altogether as a family- my brother, mother, 4 year old niece, 2 year old nephew, and myself. They came up to us and told us we had to leave because one of the three meals we purchased wasn't from their restaurant. I asked them to please let us eat there. I showed them my two meals that we just purchased from them and explained the situation only for the girl at the counter to keep repeating "It's not my rule. It's not my rule. I don't make the rules" while shrugging her shoulders with her hands up in the air. I told her we have two kids with us and we've been buying food here every day for the last three days but she just continued repeating the same thing and shrugging her shoulders again. I was shocked and beside myself. Then to top it off the they were staring at us like WE were the a**holes!! The girl working there, who "doesn't make the rules" was giving us the nastiest meanest stare the whole time even after walking out of their establishment! I used to love this place and I ate here every time I visited Seaside Heights. This experience is now burned into my memory and I will make sure to tell everyone I know how we were treated. It's disgusting. To force a two year old sunburned child and his grandmother to eat in the hot sun because his hotdog wasn't from their restaurant, even so the rest of the family's food was, is just heartless!! I'm completely and utterly disgusted! Then to stare at us in the manner that they did after the fact to FURTHER make us feel uncomfortable is just UNREAL!! This is NOT how you run a business. Never again will I purchase so much as a bottle of water from...

We visited 3 Brothers Pizza with our three kids, who were excited for pizza. My husband and I had picked up two cheesesteaks from a nearby spot on the way. We walked into 3 Brothers holding them, placed them briefly on the counter while we ordered and paid for $70 worth of food including pizza, drinks, and cheese fries.
No one said a word until we sat down with our kids. Then, a woman who claimed to be the owner told us rudely that we couldn’t eat our cheesesteaks inside because they weren’t purchased there. We were shocked. We had just supported their business with a big order, and yet we were told we’d have to eat outside.
Even more confusing, another family leaving overheard and pointed out their kids had eaten ice cream from another place while dining there. The woman responded, “Ice cream is different.” Really? So if a child had baby food or formula from elsewhere, that would be a problem too?
In the end, my husband and I had to take turns sitting outside on a bench to eat while our children sat inside to enjoy their food. It was frustrating, unnecessary, and handled without any kindness or common sense.
We won’t be back and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values...
