As a fellow Vietnamese who supports a Vietnamese own grocery store, I'm truly DISGUSTED what I have witnessed over the past few years. Every time my family and I shop here, we'll tell ourselves this will be the last time we spend our hard earned money here. Thinking things will change we always come back and leave with a huge disappointment!
My wife and I had a situation today where we bought rice noodles. There were two different types of brands of noodles on the shelf right next to the checkout lane with one sale tag marked $3.29. We wanted to make sure the price was labeled correctly, so we asked a girl working as a cashier if both brands were the same price. She rudely answers, "If there's one sales tag, each brand is $3.29!" telling us like we're dumb. Well, we asked because every time we shop here, marked prices will be different, meaning we'll be charge significantly higher price than the ones on the shelf.
Well, when we got done checking out something, tell us to check the receipt, and long behold, four different types of products, including the rice noodle, were charged two to three dollars more than the original prices. We went back into the store to speak with a manager, who told us, "It's not my fault the person who placed the products on the shelf didn't remove or place new sales tags. As a manager, you don't talk to a customer like that, and you should know if sale tags match the products or tell your employees how to do their jobs correctly. I know things happen, but you have to question whether they're doing this intentionally when it happens more than once on different occasions. We didn't even get an apology or a price reduction from the manager, even though we showed her the shelf tag that was marked a lower price.
Manager don't know how to run a business at store level. Store employees have no customer service skills, especially the cashiers, who are rude when asked a question, show no eye contact, and or answer the question with a condescending tone. I'm not trying to exaggerate, but all sale tags are written with a Sharpie, with no barcodes or numbers to match the product. How the hell are you supposed to know how much an item costs? And if an item is marked $3.29, for example, in my case, trust and believe it will be a higher price when checking out. This kind of sales tactic trying to raise higher profit makes me sick and makes us Vietnamese look bad. You guys should be ashamed of cheating out your customers. Just straight up bad business.
In the end, we returned the items that were marked wrong. This guarantees we will never step foot or support a business with no integrity and respect for...

It saddens me to give such a low review for a local asian grocer but I feel like people need to be aware.
I live right down the road and needed to pick up some last minute things for dinner and figured this would be a good chance to go to Ba Mien for the first time.
The store had a great selection of all kinds of canned goods, seasonings, and other pantry items.
My issue was with the fresh items. Unfortunately, a majority of the fruit and vegetable bins were compromised with old and moldy fruit/vegetables. A lot of them had so much gray/white fuzz on them it looked like they’d been sitting in there decomposing for quite a while.
When I moved on to the meats, I noticed that literally all of the pork was gray and the beef was not properly sealed with plastic wrap- it was exposed to open air. Meat should not look like that! If consumed, one can get very very sick.
I’m giving 2 stars because although Ba Mien has good selection with its spices and canned goods, the fresh food especially the meats were not safe for...
