The Port of Seattle took illegal possession of the STERLING, a federally titled vessel, on the 10th of March 2022 without permission or authorization which is a federal maritime law violation and an international treaties violation. They gave fraudulent statements claiming she was abandoned after I bought her, denying my mooring paperwork because I didn't have a $300 000 insurance policy when insurance is not a legal requirement for privately owned vessels and the denial of safe harbor and passage without just cause is a federal violation. An appeal date was set for the 11th of March 2022, yet they decided to take illegal possession on the 10th of March 2022. This was after previously trying to take illegal possession on the 17th of February 2022 where they were told they could not by the Seattle Police and by Washington State, and in spite of the written confirmationfrom the State that no permission was granted. These guys are criminals, and my legally standing federal documentation, which is still issued by DHS and the Coast Guard, proves it even if the local "authorities" are ignoring the fact. Federal documentation that will be used in the South African courts if need be considering the corrupt authorities in this country of USA have failed to respond appropriately. This too is a violation of equal legal standings and a move against federal documentation and law. The Port of Seattle stole my home and parted her out for money; yet the Department of Homeland Security, who are the only authorized entities allowed to decide over federally titled vessels over a certain weight and size, report that the STERLING belongs to me. The FBI have been informed and so have the Coast Guard, and nothing has been done about the theft which points to further corruption within the authoritive aspect in this country. These people are a disgrace to society and the law, and it wasn't that long ago when they would have been hanged for piracy, which is now a life sentence. "Therefore, in accordance with GAO FraudNet policy to forward all reports of wrongdoing to executive agencies, we referred your complaint COMP-25-001953 to the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for their review." - evidence that is admissible in a...
Read moreI don't know how to change the place name from Fisherman's Terminal to Chinook's Seafood Restaurant!
This may be my third review of Chinook's this summer. Our server was Oliver. another great one and friendly!
Dale Chihuly the glass artist was leaving as we entered. the we ran into our medical doctor and met her family.
Man, I want to go back and order a bowl of oyster stew. We had a cup ($7.95). delicious!
We also started with a small spinach salad $6.95) Latah Creek Pinot Grigio ($8.00), Mai Tai ($9.00) and PIECE D' RESISTANCE! -- the freshest clam and mussels in the world! ($15.95)
We ordered the London Broil ($24.95) for a change, medium rare. They did a beautiful job of splitting it onto two plates with additional portions of the side dishes ($3.00), potatoes, corn on the cob and some glazed pineapple slices. There was some left over. Since my wife prefers rice to potatoes, I was glad to take home some broiled red potatoes.
We finished off with a Bailey's mousse dessert ($6.00), again, delicious! and a heated cognac ($9.75). I guess the only wish would be that the water under the cognac were hotter, but I didn't take the trouble to have it re-heated.
The dining room is big and it gets really noisy. In a small restaurant, this can be a problem. But maybe because of the size of the room, I didn't mind. it wasn't like having loud background music or sitting near the saute line where plates and pans are clattering -- it's just a lot of people in one place enjoying conversation and wonderful food. So we didn't mind.
We...
Read moreBest CLAM CHOWDER in Seattle and beyond. They also serve red chowder which I like but the white chowder is so good I Haven't tried the red. I have eaten at Chinooks since 1990. I have never had a so so meal. The wait staff is knowledgeable , friendly, and graciously accommodates special requests. They grill fish to perfection and there cannery bread will fill you up before your meal if you eat more than a couple of pieces. Lastly, every August September they have Peach slump on the menu in place of there Blackberry cobbler both dishes are baked in individual bowls topped with Vanilla ice cream the crust is homemade. I have ordered a bowl of chowder and the cobbler as my whole meal. The location is a great spot to bring visitors, if one would like to take a walk after their meal, there are several docks to walk and look at the ships. Oh, I forgot, the clams are so good. Imagine dipping the damn cannery bread in the...
