I drove from Edmonds down to this nail spa as a birthday gift to myself and paid $84 for a pedicure which wasn't really that "special." Just the normal routine. What I got in return was a toe infection and vegan polish that still smudged after hours of dry time. Upon contacting them about it, I was told the redness and swelling is "normal." So go here if you want a toe infection! Oh and all sales are final so don't try to work out any kind of refund with them. And you'd better have your vaccine card ready when you come in the door or else!!! All they offered me was a complimentary re-polish. I wonder if they will pay for my babysitter too? Nope....I won't be going back.

I have FINALLY found my new favorite nail salon located in Seattle. It’s been a long search but this place is worth everything. All the staff seem friendly and nice, Nancy who worked on my manicure and pedicure was so detail oriented and thorough I am so blissfully happy with my fingers and toes. The place was kept clean and followed CDC guidelines and then some. I am definitely going again because I have found my new happy place ☀️Highly recommend to anyone to go here!!

This is hands down the best manicure and pedicure I have ever received.

In Summary: Atmosphere: 5/5 - calming, without the normal loud hubbub of a typical nail salon. It also lacks the fumes of many other nail places. Service: 6/5 - this is the most THOROUGH manipedi. They take care to really work with your cuticles, moisturize and trim. I had surgery on my feet as a kid so I have kind of gnarly toes and cuticles and they make sure there's no hanging edges or rough sides, even on my weirdest of toes. Price: Pricier, but fair. - definitely more expensive than many places, but considering the quality, definitely worth the money. Overall: 10/5, highly recommend.

The Longer Review:

I was born with club foot and had surgery at an early age. Since then, I've always had trouble cutting my own toenails and once I discovered pedicures, the world really changed for me. I also have very dry skin and several allergies, as well as an anxious habit of picking my cuticles. I won't say 'Greenhouse Nail Spa cured me' or anything ridiculous, but Greenhouse Nail Spa is a place I felt truly pampered me in a practical way.

From the moment you walk in, you know this is different from a lot of places that do your nails. It's clean and crisp and welcoming. The chairs are comfortable and there's no toxic fumes or the whirr of a dermal or anything. It isn't oppressively quiet either, but rather pleasant and comfortable. The wall of polishes (and the gel options) are more minimal than many places, but that honestly is for the better. Instead of trying to figure out which of the minute shades of green I want, Greenhouse seems to have the exact shade I wanted without having to hem and haw about it.

The pedicure chairs are comfortable, not a massage chair like many places but instead just an honest, incredibly comfortable chair. Like I mentioned above, the pedicure was thorough and lovely. I've had two or three different techs in my time going to Greenhouse and all have taken care with my toes. Even the most simple pedicure I've gotten there has left my feet feeling refreshed, clean and cared for - not greasy or dry at all. The manicure is more of the same, the gentle care taken with my ragged cuticles never pinched or were uncomfortable at all like many other places I've been to. The polish I've gotten at Greenhouse has LASTED. I am notoriously hard on polish as I pick and itch, but because of the quality job done with my nails (super smooth edges, clean cuticles, etc) I barely picked at my hands and the polish stayed intact until I went back! Nigh unheard of.

The only downside to Greenhouse is that if you're booking to go with a friend, sometimes the online reservation tool (currently) doesn't handle that well. So I recommend booking separately.

Thank...

I had looked forward to trying this fancy new nail salon but unfortunately, I had a bad customer service experience. I made an appointment for myself and my pregnant friend for pedicures - as a treat before she goes to the hospital. Staff members were not welcoming and had very negative energy from the onset. No warm greeting when we arrived, just "Do you have an appointment?" I said yes, and was like, ok. Then the receptionist asked for our vaccination cards, which I had but my friend didn't. When I made the appointment, there was no mention or reminder about proof of vaccination as a requirement for service. I understand there is a new mandate and we were trying to find a solution that could work for both of us. The conversation went from annoying to rude when the receptionist told us to "take down our attitude a notch." When did expressing disagreement in a mature, civilized manner become "attitude"? She actually told us to "tone down our attitude" two more times. We were like, let's go elsewhere, this is too unpleasant to spend any more time here. I ended up taking my friend to my normal go-to place Angel Nail Spa on 85th, where we had the best pedicures by the nicest ladies. I ordered the Deluxe Pedicure, where they used hot stones to massage your legs, which my pregnant friend appreciated. The ladies who did our nails were very positive and attentive and thanked us for coming in several times - what a contrast. As for Greenhouse Nail Spa, it's unfortunate that was the first and likely last experience...

Greenhouse is my favorite place for self care in Seattle! I've never been a fan of getting my nails done, always loved the end results but never found the investment of time worth it and couldn't find a spot that was relaxing. Well that was until I found Greenhouse! Kelly and her team are absolutely the best in the business! They are meticulous with their craft, the place is spotless and the whole vibe transports me to a place of peace and calm that I've never felt in a nail spa before. Huge bonus that they are low toxin and my gel nails last 3 weeks! They guarantee their results for 10 days on a gel manicure which is a major plus but the fact that mine last so long just is a testament to their top quality care and attention to detail. Kelly is so friendly and visiting is like chatting with an old friend. I can't recommend Greenhouse...
