This is a review for Datza's wonderful studio, as well as a response to the concerned woman in the previous comment.
I enjoy coming to this studio. The environment is clean, friendly and all of the instructors have been excellent. And the plants!
I am the person that made the dreamcatcher installment. I am the great granddaughter of a full-blooded Cherokee woman whom I did not get to meet, but I know her story. I come from a family of Native American artists, but a distracted life took me away from that until a couple of years ago.
I made this for Datza with love and prayer, not with the intent to exploit anyone or anything. It is my understanding that you have never taken classes here, nor have you been a customer. Reviews are for those that have experienced a product or service. Perhaps if you did go to this studio and speak with the owner once more, you would have know a little more about the background of this piece. I understand and appreciate your concern, so I just wanted to clear this up.

Around a year ago, I talked with one of the owners about some cultural appropriation they were taking part in. They were profiting off of indigenous style art, designed by non-indigenous artists, and selling it on sweatshirts. Neither owner is indigenous. Anyway, they agreed to stop selling this sweatshirt, and overall it was a good, productive conversation.
Now, a year later, each time I walk by, I see they have decorated their studio with dream catchers and other inappropriate decorations.
