My 2 year old has been going here for 1.5 years and he has learned so much!!! His vocabulary, appetite has improved, he is teaching me words like ‘como' 'no mas' and even knows his favorite teachers name Alba, Daisy, and Eliza!
Update on review: (1) My son an attacked by several kids on at least 4 occasions. I was told by the administrative staff there is nothing they can do a my son is bleeding. Although there policy indicates that this is not tolerated. Your kids are not safe here especially from assaults. When I asked to review the cameras I was denied access.
(2) I was overcharged by 2 months and occurred $300 in finance fees that they refused to help pay toward their mistake.
(3) I needed to update a lactose intolerant form and within 5 days os being notified, I was addressed by 4 different people and received email after email. Interesting approach.
When I came to the school someone Stood in front of the door as if we were not permitted onsite. As if I was trespassing?
When I spoke to other day care centers they stated this action was extreme. I even sought legal counsel whom stated this is highly unethical. By their actions they have clearly communicated we are not welcomed here.
All in all the teachers are good my son seems to be enjoying himself which is why although he was attacked I kept him here. Unfortunately, they have disrespected my son too many times, myself, and do not recognize their mistakes or how to fix them.
We will be transferring out of this facility like many other parents have. They also have a high teacher turn over rate. The only reason we are still there is because of Alba and Daisy and long wait list.
I would rate -1 for the administrative staff and 5 for the teachers. Administrative staff is very unprofessional.
The school never contacted or tried to attempt to resolve the issue. Even in there is no way to contact them. Lengthy response with no...
Read moreI called in on a random day around noon to schedule a tour and they got me in 3hrs later. This meant to me that they are always showtime ready with nothing to hide. Upon arriving, there were 4-5 staff members ready to welcome my family and they did so as if it were my child’s birthday. During the tour, they had a staff member ready to assist with watching and entertaining my child while my me and my child’s mother were able to focus on the tour at hand and freely ask questions. Absolutely fantastic service. During the tour, we did not witness a single smile that was not genuine from the staff. They all seemed to enjoy their job, establishment, and purposes there.
The facility has always been clean, filled with joy, and care. Our son’s main teacher, teacher Monica, has been an absolute angel. I have witnessed her embrace my son as if he were her precious favorite nephew.
Pearla, who runs the show, welcomed the challenge of taking care of our special needs child. This endeavor has been a first for her and at no point along the way, did she shy away from the extra care my son requires. Every step of they way, she has been open to concerns and conversation regarding the betterment of my child within her facility’s care.
The rest of the staff all know my child’s name and have never failed to greet him during passing. They always say hello and even when our backs are turned on our way out the door, they make sure to say goodbye.
There are constant events and activities being held at this facility. They will often outsource people to come instead of taking the children off campus. For example, they brought in a fire fighter for a presentation recently. In doing so, the teachers are able to keep the children in a more controlled and safe environment.
I could go on about the things we love about this daycare. Words will not describe the experience. All I will say is, its definitely worth...
Read moreBefore enrolling at WorldKids SODO, our child had a part-time nanny four days a week. We were really used to a high-quality, one-on-one care while her mother and I would work and we felt a lot of anxiety about shaking that up for her.
The first few weeks were difficult for her, but the teachers and administrators reassured us to trust their process. They were highly communicative each day about what was going better and what areas were still experiencing difficulty and what strategies they were employing to improve her success. Before long she was consistently having good days, then great days! She began telling us stories about her friends at school And showing lots of excitement about the project she worked on. Because WorldKids uses an app (TS Family) to communicate schedule info and individual updates with parents—as well as sharing pictures throughout the day—we always feel a continuous connection to our child, which is just so important to parents entrusting their child to other people.
It builds and reinforces the trust between parents and the daycare provider.
Our child has now been at WorldKids for going on two years. She has transitioned into a different classroom with other children she all considers her best friends. Her teachers are amazing—special shout out to Valeria!—and the front office staff are very welcoming and professional. (In fact, one of our child’s first and most favorite teachers, Deysi, switched to working on the administrative side, so we get to see her every day as well as know that everyone else gets to benefit from her skills as well!) We strongly encourage all young parents to...
