We had a lovely flight yesterday, it wasn’t narrated as I expected but we’re local and knew the spots we were looking at. They were a little behind but were kind and called to tell us we would be flying 30 minutes late. I would suggest to get your pricing in writing, we were charged for a different price than I was quoted. When I called I asked for the city and Mt Rainer flight, Ethan said $1000. I asked per person? He said no, $1000 total, 500 per person. I asked them to call my husband and go over the info to make sure that’s the flight he wanted on his Bday. When he called my husband we both heard the pricing again as 1k total. Then we went ahead and booked for the following week. We never received pricing confirmation or any confirmation until I called the day prior. The text I received was just the location and flight time, still no pricing. When we arrived we were a little nervous and I never even looked at the amount when my husband gave them a cc. My husband thought it was a different amount but he said he wasn’t sure. It was his 40th Bday so he was not paying attention. I went to wash my hands and missed the entire thing. I noticed the next day my statement said $1697.85. When I called I was told that’s always the Rainer pricing. He said maybe you got quotes from other places and got confused. I only called one place, I didn’t even know there were other options. When you look at their website it says call for pricing on the Rainier flight and all other flights minus the 20 min city tour. If it’s always 1697, why not just put that amount on the website? For the companies benefit and the customers, they should text or email a price quote prior in writing so that was there is never a pricing issue. I brought cash to tip on 1k so I’m sorry, I would have happily tipped on the other amount if I knew. I’m a bookkeeper for a living and never misunderstood a price in the past and I’m kind of offended they think I just misheard on 2 different phone calls Regardless about the extra 700 bucks we still enjoyed the trip and made some great memories.
Don’t let this review detour you, just get a price quote in writing prior to booking and make sure you pay attention when you pay. Also now that I know there are other flying options maybe call around and get a few quotes! In writing...
Read moreI took my girlfriends up to celebrate one of our girlfriends for a birthday surprise. We had a great time and an adventure to remember.. Unfortunately at dinner we were discussing how fun this tour was amongst each other and the birthday girl shared an experience she encountered with the pilot, Brandon. He made her feel so uncomfortable and we never knew.
Before take off she was making small talk as we were boating. She was talking about his experience and he wouldnt answer her. Then he asked her what she did for a living and she responded thinking they were making conversation. He then proceeded to tell her not to ask him any questions about his job and he won't ask her about hers. Then silence. She sat in silent and uncomfortable the entire ride.
This is amazing experience just turned into a nightmare for the birthday girl. So incredibly disappointing to know that happened and our friend was treated this way on her day.
We noticed the from the beginning Brandon was not the easiest person to speak with but never did I think he could be so disrespectful and be so rude. Very...
Read moreOur group of three loved our scenic flight. When calling to ask questions & book, I was told it would just be the three of us with the pilot (i.e. a private flight). The day of, however, another person ended up coming along. Nothing was relayed to me by the woman checking us in or the pilot, so I was pretty taken aback & disappointed by this. The possibility of having a private flight with just my group was the reason I opted to pay the higher cost & go with this company over Kenmore Air (they charge $110/person, offer narrated flights, and they told me they do scenic flights of 6, 8 or 10 people). After my experience, I don't really see any reason to book this company...
