I was surprised it was open until 11:30. It’s awesome once the school is closed. I’ve met a variety of pet owners there, and there is at least that one common bound- our dogs. It’s pretty much off leash after 5, but we ended up going one time at 9 because I’ve got an Australian Shepard that has to run cyborg style. It’s in a decent neighborhood, pretty well lit and taken care of. There’s a basketball half court that I use to hit tennis balls against the wall for my dog. The only thing is the big potholes in the field. You could break an ankle if you’re not watching! I bring that up because my Charley got thrown off while darting across the field and I was worried her little legs would sprain, or worse, rip a tendon. It’s one of our favorites! Playground has nice variety of play options, i.e. sand boxes, climbing options and slides. Swings would be nice, too. I've been there with my kid on a sunny and warm day and it was hot up there. Shade only exists on sides of area, but not on playground itself. Better be sure to bring enough drinks to keep your child and yourself sufficiently hydrated and I'd also recommend to make use of a hat there.

Read moreThis is a great place to take your dog's in the evening hours. The school has a large open field that is fenced in on all sides. I take my extremely energetic pittie there and let him run the last of his reserves running in huge circles as fast as he can. After about 20 of these, he's done and we go home. Pitts are misunderstood by anyone who's never known one, so to avoid any kind of trouble, this is a safe and somewhat private area to enjoy time with your dog.
