Very disappointed. I use to go to anytime as loyal customer than in October 2021 I left due to some unkind energy and rudeness of other gym members. I heard the gym was Renovated and I thought maybe I could look again and get a feel to see if I want to come back. I was super excited Because even though the price is high I loved this gym; it was the beginning of my journey.Went to tour with Leslye. Well more like I was told to just look around by myself and that I couldnât try anything. (Great start, for someone whoâs trying to come back and get a feel of the âcommunityâ. Also left alone With a ânewly renovated âgymâŚ.) than I was told if I had any questions/ ready to sign up that I would have to make another appointment cause she was very busyâŚ. Why make people sign up for appointments spots if you are to busy to show them around/sign them up⌠I left feeling more hurt by this place than I could of ever imagined.(especially because now it was from the workers not other gym members) I will say Adam was your best recruiter. He was great at creating a welcoming environment in anytime that I just donât see it getting back. And he gave amazing tours and aloud you to try some machines.(he even would show you how machines worked during if you asked!) Also the gym looks nice but the only new machine added was a hip thrust machine, they also did add some new grip attachments. (They will say the stair masters are apart of new machines, but if you are an old member you would know them stair masters need to be replace.) I understand why yâall charge more than average gyms but I did expect a lot more out of your customer service. Iâm sad to say but I think anytime is just not the welcoming gym/ place I knew. I hope Carlos and Von are doing well as they were two of the only people who showed me any kindness before leaving. Sad I didnât get to see them today cause I know they would have been more welcoming/ willing to show me around.
Stay...
Read moreActivation fee is about $89 for them to give you an access fob. Monthly fee is over $80 (including tax).
That's more than double 24 hour fitness. And if you walk less than 10 minutes to the YMCA, you can get a pool, basketball court, AND your fees go to good causes rather than lining someone's pocket. This Anytime is about half the size of a Seattle townhouse, while 24 and the YMCA are probably 6 times larger -- for about half as much money.
This Anytime location has also cut their free trial from 7 days to 3, claiming that they wanted to reduce crowding during the pandemic. I asked if they also offer off-peak pricing as an option to pay less (which would also reduce crowding). They said no.
I really can't recommend this gym, but I hope they look into better pricing options.
Edit in response to the misleading response from the owner: The prices I've included above include Seattle & WA sales tax. This is what a person pays. If Anytime wants to reduce the amount people pay in tax, they can make their prices more competitive. As the owner pointed out, you can try to join in a state like Oregon that doesn't have sales tax, but imo the savings are negligible compared to lower cost gyms like 24 and the YMCA. None of the options they listed make a substantial improvement to the cost of the gym. Also LOL they are a "small family run facility" with over 5,000 locations. You can't be a megacorporation and "small...
Read moreI'm submitting a new review because the last one was not comprehensive and only focused on the 30 day before next payment cancelation policy that made me unhappy.
I understand that policy is in place to "protect both parties" and I paid for an extra month I won't be using under this policy, $75.14 to be exact, uncontested.
The facility is extremely small, the weights I wanted to use were always in use, 3 days out of the 4-5 days per week I went they were out of paper towels to clean the machines, not only are the weights always in used, most cardio machines were also occupied, usually I end up having no choice but to use the treadmill until something else frees up. I was unhappy about using this gym so I decided to cancel my membership a couple days before my next payment, they suggested I freeze my membership for a month instead and I agreed, I thought I might give it another chance but I decided to cancel at the end of that feeze and was slapped with an extra month of membership that I have no intention of using.
I understand I didn't cancel soon enough for someone else to sign up for the next month and take my place, in my opinion this gym shouldn't be adding people it's already too packed and running out of resources on the daily for their members.
The $75.14 was worth it to get me out of this...
