-Not a hotel First off this place says it's a boutique hotel it's not it's basically an Airbnb.
-Key The digital key never worked although staff were prompt in helping us get a key which was nice we noticed they don't reply after a certain hour at night so if you were to arrive late at night you may find yourself stuck outside.
-Mold in first room second room was fine The first room they assigned us had black mold all over the wall but the staff did move us to a different room which was mold free clean and we enjoyed the view from the window so it was perfect for our honeymoon.
-No air in dangerous temperatures However the room would get very hot the thermometer said up to 86 degrees and this hotel ignored our concerns about this temperature you can get heat stroke in. My husband got heat rashes and was unable to sleep for much of our honeymoon.
Horrible reason it's hot The most concerning aspect is that the temperature was that hot in there due to them turning the air off to save money. They simply told us that airflow is unavailable during the spring season which is illegal according to Washington State law and since my Dad worked in home remediation in the Pacific Northwest when I was little I can see how they got mold in the other room and will continue to get it. In Seattle's humid climate if you don't have airflow moisture builds up and mold grows.
Advice to the owners: your electric bill will be cheaper than losing your building/business to black mold growth. Fixing your airflow can prevent it from growing and spreading and guests are more likely to enjoy their stay when they are comfortable and able to sleep safely.
Pros: rooms are beautiful and I loved the artwork, view from some rooms is amazing, the location is amazing right near Capitol Hill and super convenient to transit of all kinds. Rooms were reasonably priced and amenities such as the towel dryer add a nice...
Read moreThe idea is OK, the execution falls well short of comfortable or a positive customer experience. First off, the place is cheap - by Seattle standards. You get what you pay for.||The entire check in experience is digital. If you don't have a phone with free space for another app, or hate downloading unnecessary apps, then steer clear. Access to the rooms is via the Art Inn app on your phone. When I couldn't validate the key on my phone, the only way I could contact anyone from the business was via messaging a phone number as the message function in the app was down, which is their preferred message means. Your alternatives include email, or...well pretty much email.||The room was spacious enough when accounting for the separate spare bed/couch (more like a day bed), room, the bedroom, amd the bathroom. Thr layout was quite nice. Two TVs in the double room.||The beds themselves, horrific. Leaving me with a sore back. The mattress is simply light foam which has clearly seen too many guests and lost any resistance to body weigh (i only weigh 166 lbs, or about 76kg). The foam compressed to the base od the bed leaving me laying in the shape of a banana, with my head and legs up and my mid section scooping down. The pillows were too thick for the fact that the mattress was too soft. It left my neck kinked forward because my body was so far sunken into the mattress. It did not make for a restful night sleep.||All up, it's a safe, well air conditioned space to stay that is about as good as you'll probably do price-wise (assuming you can get a deal on the price) in Seattle (a notoriously expensive place to stay).||If you're looking for customer service, i.e. speaking to a real person for timely resolution of issues, or a comfortable night's sleep, consider an alternative option, perhaps pay a touch more for somewhere you'll actually be...
Read moreI stayed here for 2 days. The unit has an excellent art work inside. The bathroom had the best aromatherapy and dual shower head. The room was exquisite. Every person has their own Bluetooth key to enter or they can use the lockbox near the door. Most rooms are through the main entrance doors however nicer suites have their own entrance. This place is across from a bar, next to a restaurant and right by the stadium. On the weekends the unit shakes because of the club noise. The stadium blares music that will wake you up on a weekend. The room is otherwise quiet during the day. Management is remote but view you through a ring doorbell camera. Housekeeping keeps tabs on residents around 3:00 and reports back to them about loud guests and also cleans. I was told this room was soundproof which is why I booked it. It's not soundproof whatsoever. If you wanna stay in cap hill you're a ten minute drive to the Needle. I do recommend this but advise to text mgmt sparingly as they annoyed me by texting me at 2:00am. They were unprofessional towards the end. I lost a jacket and they never texted back. The room was 108.72 before tax. Don't pay more for a weekend. Ask for 20% off if you can't stand the noise. Otherwise I loved this room just not the area as much. Overall I would return back. Parking is the first six spots behind the INN. They don't toe but threatned to. There was no handicapped parking anywhere nearby - they accommodated me so I'm giving them a high ranking. My experience was different because I had my dogs. I thought no one would hear them because it was listed as soundproof but that's just a bad listing. There are only two of these hotels in the world. I couldn't believe how luxurious this room...
