I’ve been going to Paint Salon for years and have always adored my experience there. I usually see Kara and we’ve built not only a lovely client-stylist relationship, but also a great friendship. I recently thought about shaking it up and seeing another stylist- Manda. I showed them a photo of what I wanted, but they interpreted it into their own version. Initially with the styling, I enjoyed the cut. But as the styling faded, I realized how much my hair had been thinned out. I was devastated at how much hair had been removed in the layering; I’d have to style my hair the way they did in the salon every day if I wanted it to avoid looking mousy-thin. I currently am recovering from a shoulder surgery, so the idea of trying to style my hair daily with a blow dryer was also impossible; I can’t physically style it like they did. Kara was able to fit me in first thing the next open business day. She sat with me through tears and made me laugh, brought me wine, and spent 2-2.5 hours cutting and recutting my hair until it was something I could live with and grow out again. I think she cut my hair 3 times before I was feeling ok about what we salvaged. I would’ve very quickly shaved my head had she not jumped in and experimented with different ideas. Kara is an absolute delight and life-saver. Her cuts and color services are thoughtful and creative, as well as collaborative. She listens and really works to understand what her clients want. She is the stylist I feel comfortable saying “f* me up” when she asks what I want done with my hair. If you’re not sure who to book with, book with Kara. You won’t regret it.

Anyone with curly hair can tell you that finding someone who can cut curly hair well consistently is a challenge, and it can be kind of scary finding a new stylist. That was my situation in 2021 but I knew Erin personally and was sure I was safe in any hands she trusted at her salon! I saw a stylist who no longer works at the salon for the first couple of years and started seeing Mel in 2023 after my first stylist moved.

The first stylist helped me achieve the mullet of my dreams and Mel stepped up to help me maintain that for several cuts before I decided to transition to a bit more of a shaggy mullet. Mel has been extremely easy to work with, even when I tell her I want to tweak this or that in search of that perfect balance between shag and mullet that lived in my mind. I can happily say she has helped me achieve every hair goal I have had while being her client. She always checks to make sure I'm satisfied with every cut and goes the extra mile to make any final adjustments I ask for before leaving her chair. Mel is also a beautiful person inside and out and I feel special every time I'm in her chair. It sounds cheesy, but she really puts her heart into the work and does what she can to make sure every client is happy with the end result, and it shows!

Everyone at the salon is extremely welcoming and I would recommend this salon and Mel to anyone who wants to feel happy...

I highly recommend Paint Salon! Whether you are looking for a more traditional or edgy look, the hair dressers at Paint Salon will deliver! All staff are kind and welcoming, and more importantly, the hair dressers are super talented.

Manda has been my hair dresser since 2016 and I've been going to Paint Salon to see them since the salon opened. Manda is truly a hair artist and I would recommend them to anyone who wants stunning hair. In the past two years I've had basic long hair cuts (past shoulders even length all around), long hair cuts with layers/face framing, bright reds and pinks on long hair, and more recently as of my last two services pink hair with a shag hair cut. What I appreciate most about my styles from Manda, however, is that they grow out really nicely, including both length/style and color.

Overall, I've always left the salon happy and am always in awe of how great everyone's hair looks as they are leaving Paint Salon! Additionally, I like the product selection at the salon as well including Cult & King and Davines. Products work well, smell amazing, and many have refill options to reduce waste.
