This B&B was truly a home away from home! Our host, Sarah, was super accommodating from the moment I made the booking. She reached out to ensure we’re set for activities and tours, as you can get a discount booking through the B&B. The check in and check out process was super easy and flexible. The room was spacious and warm, and has everything we needed. Sarah makes the best breakfast! We loved it so much we tried recreating it at home (pictured, minus the sourdough waffles which was delicious)! She also gave us great suggestions on what to do in Seward, including going to the beach (ask Sarah about the name, it’s a local secret 😉) for a fire and s’more session (pictured). We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Seward, this is the best in town! Thanks Sarah!

Excellent location. The walk to the harbor is scenic and less than 2miles. It was easy for us to park our car outside Northern nights. Sarah, our host is knowledgeable and prepared a wholesome breakfast for my family of four. I recommend seeking her opinion on how to have unique experiences in this beautiful city. Very close to the Seward library and museum. The Bear lodge rooms and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The common dining area is warm & welcoming.

We stayed at Northern Nights and had booked two rooms for two couples traveling together. The rooms were smaller than expected. The photos on the website seemed to show a much larger and more appealing setup, which may have been of their best room rather than the standard ones.||Unfortunately, my wife developed an allergic reaction while in our room. Although the B&B is advertised as pet-free, I recognized the symptoms as her cat allergy (which she is extremely sensitive to). When I asked Sarah, the owner, if a cat lived on the property, she confirmed she owns a cat but insisted it stays in a separate area. Instead of showing concern, she was upset that I even raised the question and dismissed the possibility of any connection.||The next morning at breakfast, her attitude remained defensive and very sour! Not once did she ask about my wife’s condition or express any concern and instead was passive-aggressive. I found this reaction very disappointing. Hospitality should mean caring about the comfort and well-being of guests, even if issues arise.||Overall, we left with a very poor impression. Because of both the misleading room presentation and the lack of empathy or professionalism in handling a health concern, I cannot recommend staying at...

Note: The photos in 2011 on Tripadvisor are outdated. The bedrooms and beds look nicer now. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the room but the updated photos are available from some other websites. ||Northern Nights is a great place to stay for its convenient location, clean and comfortable room, homey shared space (living room and kitchen), and responsive host. The included breakfast is made-to-order standard American breakfast (e.g. egg, bacon, sausage, potato, waffle, coffee, fruits... etc.). I especially like the home-made lemon cranberry bread. The property is within walkable distance to Resurrection Bay, restaurants, and coffee shops, and is just next to the beautiful Seward community library/museum. Sarah (the host) is friendly and communicated well in emails before our visit. We booked the glacier wildlife cruise tour (another thing I recommend to do in Seward!) through her with discounts. Sarah is very helpful and Northern Nights is a...
