Disappointed. To say the least. First of all, we fell on the way into the restaurant from the slick walkway that isn’t being maintained for safety. We chose the restaurant based on the pizza menu online only to find out there was no pizza. Had to ask for straws twice. One of our party never even got a drink one time during the entire two hours we were in the building. THREE waitresses were flitting around one table, but meanwhile every single other table was having to wait or being ignored despite there only being a handful of tables. During our LONG way for food, we saw several parties leave the building after the waitresses kept telling them the kitchen was backed up (again the restaurant was NOT busy and most tables were empty). When we ordered, I specifically asked that a basket of fries be brought out as an appetizer to keep my kids content. I promptly got informed that she’d “try” but that it likely wasn’t going to happen with a look on her face. From then on, our table was ignored for almost an hour before they came around telling us the kitchen was backed up and it would be a few mins longer. Our order was not complicated, large, or custom. Shouldn’t have taken more than the time it takes for a burger to cook for it to come out based on the lack of customers in the restaurant. As soon as our food was served, again no service. No offers for refills. Still no drink for the one member of our party. After we had all finished our food, we spent 15 solid minutes waiting on our checks because the waitress had disappeared. We didn’t see her one time during that 15mins. And then she had the audacity to help herself to a 20% tip on all 3 of our checks without asking AND despite the restaurant policy that 18% was the added gratuity amount for a party of 6. We signed and left angry. It was a horrible experience. Also, don’t order the French toast (it takes like lemons) or the beer batteries cod (it’s like eating unflavored air). All in all? Two thumbs down. Not a pleasant experience for our first time...

Myself, my daughter and boyfriend came for an early dinner. We sat in the bar area immediately, greeted by our server very quickly. She answered the questions we had about the menu and said we can actually do substitutions if we would like. We ordered my daughter the mac and cheese which came very quickly and she loved it. I ordered the country fried steak with fries, the whipped mashed potatoes it came with and the gravy on the side. My boyfriend ordered the swiss mushroom burger with no horseradish sauce. They brought out our food but the server realized the gravy was not on the side and said it would be remade, which was no problem to wait. The new plate came in maybe five minutes. Looked great, the steak was as long as my forearm. The whipped mashed potatoes were alright, the fries were good. The country fried steak however was just really bad. The breading literally fell off when I cut the steak, it had no flavor and all I could taste on the steak was fryer oil. I only ate one bite as that was all I could take of it. I tried the gravy but all it tasted like was flour and grease, I could not taste any seasonings. I did eat the mashed potatoes and some of the fries. My boyfriend's burger was a good thickness and size but didn't have much flavor other than oil either. Ordered the hot fudge sundae and it was one single scoop of ice cream with 3 inches of whipped cream and a large bottom layer of fudge. Not enough ice cream for the insane amount of toppings. I think this is the only place I've had a sundae where the fudge was strictly on the bottom. We both really wanted to like this place, the many staff were attentive but the food was just too bad. We were both in agreement that there were far too many employees than the business needed as well, it just didn't make any sense. We likely will not be back. I do not recommend the country fried steak or fried chicken meal as they do use the...

I give this place 3 stars overall. Why? Although the prime rib was cooked perfectly, I never received the creamy horseradish sauce I asked for 3x. The server working the bar even acknowledged I hadn't received it yet and she said it was coming .....3x. I asked another server, who was just leaning on the bar doing nothing , who told me she would tell my server......huh?. Great teamwork guys. I also asked for an extra BC dressing for my salad, which ultimately I received from a busser/ barback. The server kept telling me she didn't forget about it. But she clearly had. The service does NOT compare in anyway to Flamingo Lounge. I'm sorry I ever recommended this place to tourists from the ships & train. I no longer will. My roommate had the fish tacos which seemed to clash in flavor with all the veggies/ fruit topping. IThe toppings overpowered the fish Inever tasted any fish, though I knew it was there. I could see it. It was 6/28/2025 at 6pm when we arrived. I told them I was coming & why. Apparently, it didn't matter who I was or what I do in Seward. I've been recommending this restaurant to hundreds based on word of mouth alone. NEVER AGAIN.........This place has a tasty chowder, but honestly, the BREEZE INN actually has clams in theirs. It's better. Sorry Highliner, you blew iit! Your service is horrible, and you FAILED to impress with ur food the first people to shuttle the tourists around. The busser/ barback working the bar that early evening should have been the server...lol Your servers, like most in this town...

We came here after reading numerous reviews from all the restaurants in town. This one had a kid menu and that what ultimately came down to as we have two kids and they were open on Sunday. It was a little busy when we check-in; about 20 minutes wait. The server came quick with our menu and took our order. I wanted to try the halibut ceviche and was disappointed because it was so citrus that I couldn’t taste the fish at all. My husband finished it. The kids got a hamburger with fries and a cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was huge for a kid entree so the husband and his brother shared. We got the house special with blackened halibut, rice and seasonable vegetables. Fish was cooked well, veggies and rice were seasoned well. My husband was the only one ordered coffee and everything with tip came out to be $110. The restaurant has a nice view looking from inside as we got a window seat. Nothing fancy interior though. There is a playground behind the restaurant and the kids played on for a bit after lunch. Service was great; food came promptly, table was cleared quick and check came out in a timely manner. Price was okay. I gave it four stars for the super citrus favored halibut ceviche as it was $24. I recommend everything we had except the halibut ceviche but maybe someone was super heavy handed with the citrus this day.

We wanted to try fresh seafood in Seward, so we choose this place. There was a wait time of 20 minutes, as soon as we got the table, we had to wait another 10 minutes for server to come and take our orders. We ordered crab cakes, halibut, Cod, fish and chips, chowder, and Alfredo pasta. To our surprise, everyone in our group voted Alfredo pasta to be the favorite. It’s shocking that, we liked Alfredo pasta at a seafood restaurant. Fish and chips was okayish, halibut was average, clam chowder was above average, crab cakes was the best in seafood items. We liked Alfredo pasta so we ordered another Alfredo pasta w/ chicken this time. The second pasta was no were close to the first one. It looked both pasta was made at two different restaurants. Coming to desserts, we ordered their award winning creme brûlée, personally I didn’t find it why it is named “Award Winning”. It was normal toffee flavored creme brûlée. The triple chocolate cake was super rich. The sweet potato cheesecake was our favorite. The cost for our order was above $300. I cannot justify this high of a cost for this small amount of food. Overall, it was an average experience, nothing wow, nothing new or surprise.
