I don’t like to say negative things about a restaurant but I felt this warranted my comment. I will start with the good points of the dinner. This was for a take out order of fish and chips and chowder. The young lady at the counter was super nice and informative, and what she didn’t know, she walked back to the kitchen to ask. It was early in the day before the dinner rush so the restaurant was not busy. She took our order and we picked it up quickly. (Around 10-15 min). The French fries were delicious. The chowder was delicious. I wish I had only ordered the chowder.

Now to the negative part. The fish was terrible. We had one order of cod and one was halibut. The pieces were small and texture was so-so on both fish dinners. I love salt but the batter was so salty it was hard to eat. The herb spicing on the fish batter was too strong and so I felt like I was eating fish I couldn’t taste that was slightly mushy covered in thick herbal salt. I thought I would cut the salt and herbs with the tarter sauce but it also, did not taste good. I admit, I’m known for making some of the best tarter sauce ever, so maybe it was an unfair comparison. The dinner was 77 dollars. I realize this is a touristy area, but I always hope to get the best of the best when I order from any restaurant.
