Let me start by saying I genially like this store and the people that work in it, I shop this store specifically if I want to find anything I want or need. That all being said I don't appreciate the companies scale on buying items from people. For example I brought in a deck of Pokemon cards with 178 cards in it total. (Mind you I know this isn't a lot of cards nor was I looking to make a huge profit from them and truthfully I was just going to get whatever store credit I could out of them) but I was told I would need a lot more cards then I had in order to sell them to the store and that per 100 cards is around a dollar, I said ok no big deal because clearly this is a company policy not the employees doings so no need to be upset with them. I went ahead and looked around as I always do when I'm there plus why waste the trip to be told no pretty much. As I looked around I looked at the USED card decks they have there for about Half the amount of cards I brought in they were selling them for $10 per deck. realistically that is about and 900% profit for them. I understand the company needs to make their money too but come one you give me a dollar for more then you're selling and turn around and sell half of it for nine dollars more. you got two decks out of mine so that would be 18 dollars made. I give it 3 stars because the people and the atmosphere no doubt, just wish it was a little more fair to the people...
   Read moreThe game was sold as a new item, but the package had no seal, the case had visible damage, and there was a small piece of sticker still on it that didn't get peeled off all the way. When I asked the clerk, he said the disc had no scratches, so it is a new item. A new item would be sealed and not have the case damaged already. The case is part of the product, right? When I asked about this, and if it should be brought up to a manager, the clerk said I'm good to go and to have a nice day. My issue was not acknowledged and was blatantly ignored.
I'm having 2 issues here:
First one being products that are obviously used, but are being sold at the NEW price. I brought up the fact of it being a used item, and I would like to have it at the used price. I was then informed by the clerk that the disc was "new", so its sold as a new item.
Secondly, the customer service I have been getting from this location is subpar. This isn't the first time I've had issues with employees not caring about their job. The issues/questions I have tend to be ignored, or given a vague answer. I try not to make a big deal about this subject cause I get it, and its not worth getting worked up over.
This is the closest location to me, and I still plan on shopping here. I'm hoping these issues will be resolved to some degree because I don't want to start driving farther to go to...
   Read moreThe store itself was mostly well stocked. I visited the shop to see if any records I wanted were on offer. The shop only had a meager selection of vinyl most of which was new. No digging through bargain bins here. Although not at all happy with selection of records I can appreciate the stores wide range of other collectibles too many things to accurately describe are available at Vintage Stock, Shawnee, KS.
What gave me negative opinion of Vintage was the staff's complete lack of engagement. There was no inquiry as to what I might be there for. No one worker so much as greeted me! They just continued with conversation amongst themselves. I looked at what records were there. I decided to ask if there were other lps elsewhere in the store. There was an eyeroll and the least senior among staff dispatched minimize the bother I was causing with questions about things for sale in the store. I know the young was least experienced because his a only response to my question was " I dont know I only just started recently" I left. No reason to waste time where I'm not wanted. I dont advise going to this store unless you have previous knowledge of all the inventory and pricing. The staff certainly isn't going to help with anything. Dont...
