Shelby Design Center — Attraction in Shelby Charter Township

A huge thank you to Shelby Design Center. Our flooring project, by far, exceeded our expectations. Christi and Mitch were such a pleasure to meet. Mitch was so helpful in pulling floor samples out for me. Christi was great in helping us select a flooring to accommodate our needs. As our project progressed, we shared ideas for an area rug in our great room and runner down the hall. She selected various color and fabric types that she felt would be both beautiful and durable, and I was able to decide from there. With Christi's help, she made final decisions fun and easy. Mark could not have been more accommodating in scheduling our project. We had some time restrictions going in. He saw that our time frames were met, and our job was completed in a timely manner. Our flooring project was a bit of a challenge. There was a slight difference in height where our kitchen and foyer floor met our great room floor. With our existing carpet and cement incline, you never noticed the difference. With vinyl flooring, this issue needed to be addressed. Both Mark and Adam came out, measured, and decided the cement needed to be removed along with all of the old flooring. Next, a thicker plywood would be laid in its place to raise the floor. Then, the luxury vinyl flooring would be put down. Adam assured me he could make the transition from the kitchen and foyer into the great room timeless (not a noticeable height difference) and he delivered! Adam has an eye for detail and it shows in his work. Both Adam and Keith worked our job. These guys are the best of the best! Christi, I wanted you and Mark to know how incredible Adam and Brenden were! They were professional, courteous and so easy to have in my home! They did an exceptional job on my flooring. It looks spectacular! More than I could have imagined. What a credit they both a credit to your company. Adam was especially calm (I was not!) and reassuring when the glass fell out of my cabinet window and crashed to the brand new floor he had just put in! He not only had to replace several pieces of hardwood (not easy to do as I'm sure you know!) but was kind enough to have the glass replaced and then fixed my window! So impressive! Adam also added additional baseboard pieces for me to make a beautiful finish to my staircase! So far above and beyond and very rare these days! He is an expert and perfectionist in his field! All your customers benefit from his expertise. Christi, I also wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your nice card. It was a pleasure working with you and I especially appreciated your patience while selecting the flooring and my delay in ordering. You were great to work with and were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Please thank Mitchell who helped me the one time you weren't working. I appreciated his patience. Wife and I recently did a significant renovation at our house. We were tasked with picking out new light fixtures for our house and had no clue where to start. Thats when we thought we would check out shelby deisgn center.

You can see the numerous light fixtures from the road as we have driven past Shelby Design multiple times. The store is large with hundreds, and i mean hundreds of different options.

Upon walking in, it was a bit overwhelming. Thats when we met Greg! After a warm introduction, we reviewed our renderings and design style with Greg and he quickly went to work showing us options that work with our style of design.

Greg is a design artist, or should i say genious. His expert designer eye could see what we were looking for. He was very helpful and patient as we were very indecisive and gave us great recommendations and ideas that eventually lead us to our decision. We even changed our mind on a few items midway through construction and he was happy to accommodate.

Greg was able to order all the items and store them in house, as we were not ready for them for several months which was nice as our house was a construction zone so nothing would break or get knocked around.

All in all, i would give Greg, shelby design and the entire staff 10 stars if i could. Project is finished and the light fixtures are perfect and complement our deisgn choices perfectly. Will definitely be back and look forward to working...
