The new rink is great for the most part. They do have a a few problems that are quite noticeable. To start, the bathrooms are quite unsanitary, and sometimes they donât have any paper towel to dry your hands with. Another noticeable problem is the jump area. The age limits on most things their are 12 and under plus there is normally not that many other children there for kids to play with. This area also seems to get very boring quickly and is not worth the extra money. You can see another issue when you reach the rental for rollerblades, and roller skates. This area is mostly good fast, and easy accept the lack of 1/2 sizes and certain sizes in general. This can be a huge issue making you foot very tight or not close enough to your toe making you lose balance. Another problem is shown in the competitions. These competitions are very dangerous for example in the main game it is reverse wipeout with a musical chair aspect. The kids have to hit the GROUND as fast as they can to win each round. It is easy to see the extreme danger in this. They don't even rent out helmets so the kids could easily slip and hit their heads on the ground. Another competition issue is with the races. For the most part the races and good there is one issue and that is separation. They separate skaters by grade which is good yet there is one flaw. They also separate by sex which doesnât seem to make sense because the skating speed in girls and boys seem to be similar. Also my kids want to do these races together with there friends but many of there friends are different genders and my kids are too. There is one final issue Iâve seen which is the music request. Both of my kids that attended this place requested songs sadly they didnât have them in their system, all they played were songs years old that most people did not enjoy it seems they should just get a top 100 playlist and play those but nope. In conclusion, the new rink is good but there are flaws note thereâs a lot of good things too this was just showing the flaws so I suggest you go and see it...
Read moreBeen going since roughly 2014, and the quality feels like its gone further down over the years. Past few experiences have been especially poor, and needless to say, I don't plan on returning anymore.
Skating floor needs some workâthere's a large rough patch at one of the turns that looks like old paint or confetti splattered/scattered on there and got run over. I'm a good skater, and it made even me a bit nervous.
Bathrooms have just 3 stalls, one behind a cramped wall, and the singular sink (for both) is outside the bathrooms. Said bathrooms are also quite gross inside, as if staff isn't paid enough to keep them adequately clean. Also last I went (yesterday), the trash can by the only sink smelled quite literally like someone crapped in it.
They don't have anyone monitoring the floor, or leading the direction like they used to. I nearly crashed into multiple little kids wandering the floor aimlessly, going the wrong way, Stopping And Standing In The Way, etc. No staff addressed any of these issues. (Personally, I think there should be a separate area/time for small kids to skate.)
Playlist have practically zero variety, and aren't good for skating to. You can hardly tell when one song has ended and the next begins. It's rare you hear something even marginally different.
Food and drink prices are ridiculous, and it's not even worth the quality. There's a water fountain by the bathrooms so you don't technically have to pay just to drink some water, but that is also questionable quality (Not to mention right next to the Bathrooms.)
The TVs on the rink last I went were playing questionable content with the modern SpongeBob episodes. There was straight-up gore on-screen in some of those episodes. I had to look away multiple times just to not see that. It was gross and disturbing. I paid to skate here, and had to leave early partly because of this alone (plus the poor music wasn't doing any favours in keeping me and my...
Read moreDaughters 8th birthday party for her and 9 friends, she loves skating and wanted to have it at a roller rink. This was the closest place for all guests. We ordered extra drinks and slushies, extra pizzas, chicken tenders, and breadsticks in addition to the single slice of pizza and one cup of a drink for the 10 kids. We had some minor issues initially with the hostess we were working with, like having to decide on what drinks the kids wanted before they had all arrived, having food arrive 25 minutes earlier than the time THEY specified for our guests to use the room to eat, and asking us to pay an EXTRA $75 to have a school lunch room table slid down off the wall for the parents of our guests to sit and eat even though we were the only people using the room at that time. But the absolute worst thing we encountered (besides the horrible manager as others have mentioned) was when the ONE pitcher of water ran out, we asked for a refill of water.. we were told that there will be a charge of $6 per pitcher of tap water!! We asked how much bottled water was, and they said $2 each. We asked if we could bring in our own bottled water, which we had in the car, we were told no, we couldn't do that. So, if you are having an event here please keep in mind that even if you are spending $500+ for 10 kids to skate, you will not be able to have simple tap water if you ask for it. My kid had a great time, however, from a parent perspective, I wish I would have read the reviews before booking and saved my self the aggravation of have having to deal with unprofessional people that have no idea about good customer service. Oh and to end, one of our guests said that getting through TSA is easier than getting in...
