Cute looking place. Loved the lighting inside. It was the first time any of us in our party of 5 had gone to this establishment. We went tonight (on a Friday night around 7pm). When we first walked in, there was a guy and a girl singing/playing the guitar. It was EXTREMELY loud. My son has sensory issues, and my husband is also sensitive to loud noises too...not to mention, we couldn't hear our servers, they couldn't hear us, and we most definitely couldn't hear each other to conversate. I've been a singer/performer for many years, so I can handle loud music, but it was even a bit too loud for me. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Now on to the food/prices, etc...
The menu was pretty decent. A good variety of fried/grilled seafoods were available, a good selection of stuff for kiddos, gyros and other sandwiches, and even sushi were available! I ordered the grilled scallops and shrimp as well as mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was a bit overpriced in my opinion, as there were only 6 shrimp, and maybe 6-8 scallops for $16.49 for my meal.
The shrimp were delicious!! Grilled to perfection and seasoned very well. The scallops were unevenly seasoned/flavored...one would have a good amount of seasoning on it and a good sear, while another wouldn't. They were also very rubbery. The mac n cheese was a little too al dente for me, but I did like the cheese sauce in it. The mashed potatoes were just that - a peeled, cooked potato that got smashed. No butter, salt, pepper, etc taste at all. My stepdad said the grilled Mahi mahi was very dry, and my Mom didn't enjoy the coleslaw nor her scallops. Husband enjoyed his gyro, and son liked his nuggets...So, overall, it was a mixed bag. The sweet tea was excellent!
The service was not great initially, but once we placed out drink orders with the brunette waitress, another server switched out with our first one for some reason. We loved our second server. She was real, had a great personality, and took care of all of our needs. I don't remember her name, but she had blondish hair and a cheek piercing.
We would probably go back another time when there isn't a live band, and try the sushi. I'd probably order the sweet tea and the grilled shrimp once more, but forget about...
Read moreI’ve been here before multiple times and had zero issues. Earlier this week I decided to make a reservation for my birthday. I’d like to point out that I’d love our waitress and she was very kind and pleasant. Unfortunately it took about 30-40 minutes for our sushi roll and appetizer to come to the table. Then everyone had ordered their entree and she had to come back to let my mom know they were out of the item she ordered. No big deal she made a substitute. She had to come back again to tell us only 1 person could have snow crab. (Only myself and my sister had ordered it, with it being my birthday she let me have the last cluster) then everyone’s meals began to come out and while waiting for my food I ate some fries and catfish nuggets from my nephews plate and they were pretty cold. Then everyone mentioned how their food wasn’t really warm at all, my other sister had to repeat more times than needed to ask for tartar sauce. Everyone has their meals expect me on my birthday. My mom mentioned how she still needed her side of mashed potatoes and then was told they were out, and it being about 15-20 minutes later with me still now having food my father went and spoke with a “manager”. I heard the manager say he would be right back with me food and that they did have mashed potatos..?Another 10 minutes pass and still no food lol. So at this point I decided I didn’t want anything anymore screw the crablegs just get the check and go home. I have never experienced anything like this before and was so upset with the entire situation. I reassured our waitress I understood it was not her fault and I was not upset with her by any means. My sister mentioned when she got there the hostess told her the table was ready but did not tell her or guide her on where to go which had upset her as well. Upon my own arrival she did not even greet us when we walked in the door. I believe they did discount everyone’s bills but I was just so upset by the customer service. When leaving the “manager” did not apologize or anything he literally had his back turned to us. His excuse for the issues were “we are busy” however this was the slowest I had ever seen the...
Read moreWe visited this place last night with my grandparents. My husband ordered the lobster roll and asked to substitute gumbo for fries, he was told he couldn’t sub gumbo, it had to be a side so he chose corn. We got our food, no fries, just corn as asked however when we got our bill there was a $1.50 charge for substitute of the corn. It was one of the half pieces of corn on the cob not a full cob and he only got one. When I looked at the menu, a side of corn is $1.59 & a small side of fries is $1.89. I went to the counter where you Pay & asked to speak to the manager. She was arguing but said I can get the owner. As she was going To get the owner some other customers who were leaving said “He won’t do anything. We didn’t like our food but he didn’t care”. He wouldn’t even listen to me,. He tried to explain that the meals automatically come with fries. I said okay, but you charged us $1.50 for corn and then we didn’t even get the fries, if we had known that up front, we would’ve still gotten the fries and just paid the extra $1.59 for the corn. He just argued with me so my husband who was getting our baby ready to leave said “Obviously our business is worth arguing over $1.50, so go ahead and pay it and we won’t ever be back” That’s what we did. I would not support this man or his business. We own a catering business and would NEVER treat a customer this way and especially...
