I give Carla 10 stars. I give the customer service department 0 stars. I give the way delivery is scheduled 0 stars. The delivery men get 10 stars and I applaud them for not quitting for the way they are treated. If you give a customer a time, and they rearrange their life to fit that time, you should make sure that you don't pile a month's worth of deliveries on the delivery drivers so they are unable to meet those times. That was so wrong of your company. I had come here because of the high reviews and because we had heard really great things about the company. May be cheaper, but I now regret that I did not go to La-Z-boy and pay more. I was expected in Tyler, TX the day of my delivery by 7 p.m. to pick up my daughter after she got off work because she doesn't drive and lives alone and everyone she knew was leaving town. I had asked for an AFTERNOON delivery....one would expect this would be an estimated time between 1 p.m. to maybe 4 p.m., 6 p.m. at the latest. No, I get an email that says I will get my delivery at 6:30 p.m., which is not afternoon and not the time I chose for delivery. So, I called them and explained the circumstances and that I had a little over an hour drive to get to where she was and I could not wait around until 6:30 and that I had asked for an afternoon delivery. When I pulled up the list of deliveries, there were about 20-25 deliveries listed for that truck for that day. Ridiculous. They had to set all of that up, too. Just the two of them. After spending over $4,000.00, I get a voice message saying they will send me a $100.00 in-store coupon. Oh, thank you so much. Like, that might buy me an ugly lamp I do not need. But, all in all, that was the week after Thanksgiving and I have still not received anything from them. So.....makes me wonder about...
Read moreUpdate: Customer Service made it right, no excuses and I love that so I wanted to be sure to update my review. The initial delivery process should be explained better. One with all the robo calls it should be explained that the number calling will be a a robot and the number will not be from the location we purchased product from. So I spent all day prior to delivery waiting on the call just to realize on the day of delivery they called from a random number. Then on the day of delivery they did show up on time but didn't bother to come in the driveway for the delivery even though my security system showed them passing right by the main drive way. Considering this is a large house I would just think the delivery associates would come to where there are cars, open garage, trash cans etc. Yes the address does take you to the front of the house but the driveway is clearly visible from that standpoint also. So I spent all day at home with the door open just to get a call that they were unable to deliver. Read moreThe people who run Haverty's furniture are some of the worst people. My mother called me almost in tears because what they were about to do to her. My mom saved her money and bought a good mattress set for her husband. It was covered under warranty. She was getting a new mattress because hers was damaged. She was told to discard of it or she could pay to let them haul it off. So I helped her load it up to be thrown away. The delivery people showed up (nicest people we have met). They checked and made sure it was ok to throw away. I leave and go to the dump. She called and said I had to go back and dig the mattress out of the dump or they were going to take her new one away. Because "some boss" refused to do his job properly, they were going to make my mother sleep on the floor or pay another 3000 for a bed she already paid for. Luckily I got it before it was destroyed. When she called to find put what was wrong they pointed their finger at everyone but themselves. They did not care if my parents slept on the floor. I will never shop there again and will never recommend...
