Hello, I am a PhD student in School Administration at Louisiana Baptist University. First of all, let me say that the academic dean, Dr. Walter Swaim, is one of those people who make you feel as if you've known them all of your life. The first encounter was amazing; he answered all questions. The onboarding process was smooth. I selected LBU because of the rigor of the PhD program, its affordability, its accreditation, and its commitment to academic integrity and quality. LBU's commitment to education from a Christian worldview was the icing on the cake, so to speak. LBU selects properly credentialed, qualified staff and pairs appropriate advisors with its graduate students. My advisor, Dr. Jim Lang, possesses the appropriate credentials and is extremely helpful and passionate about student success. I highly recommend LBU without reservation for those adult learners looking to gain an accredited, reputable, quality academic credential at an affordable price. You will not find an institution with more quality, academic rigor, and affordability. Rev. Sam Shavers Jr., MDiv PhD student in School Administration.

Academic excellence meets pleasant experience! I finished a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies in 2019 and a Ph.D. in 2025.; both at LBU, and it was incredibly good!!! The staff and faculty were highly competent, kind and responsive. The flexibility and different type of classes allowed me to continue to be a mother, wife, Bible teacher, and business owner while making progress on my degrees. Love the sound theological views of LBU, and their dedication to ministry. Being a Great Commission institution is a sold reality. It was a special pleasure to work with all the Deans! Their guidance and support has been amazing. Además, todos esos beneficios también están disponibles en Español!

In a nutshell: Not only did I receive my master’s in theology at LBU, there were so much more they had in their repository of faith and knowledge to offer me that after graduation, I enrolled in their PhD program. Their engaging, their rigorous expectations pushed me to the edges of my potential I never knew I had as a person/student. Being accredited by ASIC, an international accreditation agency in London, the span of career awaiting their graduates is the globe. I earnestly pray for whoever who is considering to further their knowledge of the Lord, to end their search and seriously consider LBU. Affordability of their tuition was the key factor for me to select them.

One of the many highlights of Louisiana Baptist University and Seminary is the outstanding faculty and team members. Words cannot express the depths of my gratitude for these phenomenal people. They understand the challenges of competing responsibilities, and they go above and beyond to help their students achieve their goals. I have witnessed Louisiana Baptist University and Seminary constantly taking their program to higher levels, including by way of achieving international accreditation through ASIC. Their courses are engaging and rigorous—but also flexible and accommodating. They are committed to ensuring their students' growth and learning, and they deliver a sound curriculum that is firmly rooted in the Word of God. The faculty and team at Louisiana Baptist University and Seminary are leaders in every sense, and they are role models for excellence. I owe a special debt of gratitude to Dr. Jay Foster, Dr. Walter Swaim, and Mrs. Amy White for their support and kindness. My growth and learning in this program have forever impacted my ministry and servant's journey. I thank the Most High God for Louisiana Baptist University and Seminary's dedication and commitment to equipping their students for service as ambassadors of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (p.s. For those who are considering enrolling but are hesitating to take that next step, I humbly offer Psalm 37:5. Remember: The LORD of all Creation has His hand on you! In His power and for His glory: You can...

Gratitude is my first expression. This is because, having been a graduate with a BSc. from another credible university, where I paid $60,000.00 for my degree, and having gone to another well known university for my Seminary education where the price of the MDiv. amounted to another $60,000.00. I found Louisiana Baptist University and Theological Seminary not only extremely affordable where I graduated debt free due to their extraordinary total cost of the degree that I obtained (an MA in Biblical Studies), but the curriculum was just as rich and rigorous as the others, if not more so in some classes.

Furthermore, the depth, and wealth of knowledge brought forth from our Professors, and our Deans enriched our studies and understanding of the subject matter at hand. Professors and Deans are extremely responsive in either a phone call, or email (for distance learning online students such as myself) when you have a question - or need guidance, insight, prayer, or encouragement.

The administrative staff is just as compassionate, and caring. Their professionalism has proven to me time and time again that they pursue excellence in taking care of their students.

Lastly, the Maximize Conference, and the graduation ceremony at the end of your degree is phenomenal! No other University and Theological Seminary is equipping their students, in this...

Louisiana Baptist University and Theological Seminary is an exceptional institution for those seeking a Christ-centered, biblically grounded education. My experience with LBU has been overwhelmingly positive. The faculty are knowledgeable and experienced in their fields and genuinely care about their students' spiritual growth and academic success. They uphold strong doctrinal convictions while encouraging students to think deeply and serve faithfully.

The flexibility of their programs, especially for those already involved in full-time ministry, is a huge advantage. Their distance learning options make it possible to pursue higher education without compromising your calling or current responsibilities. The curriculum is rich in biblical content, practical theology, and ministry training, preparing students for real-world service in churches, missions, and Christian leadership.

LBU emphasizes personal discipleship, academic excellence, and a heart for the Great Commission. It's not just about earning a degree; it's about being equipped for the work of the ministry. I highly recommend Louisiana Baptist University and Theological Seminary to anyone serious about growing in their faith and being thoroughly prepared for...
