This was my first time eating here but not for my significant other he had been here his whole life. We didn’t wait long maybe 15 minutes and walked around the general store. Faith was our server. We sat down for 10 minutes before she came to our table and took our drink order. Then she disappeared for 10 more minutes no drinks yet. She didn’t know anything about menu items when it came down to items for allergies. If we asked for something she told us hold on she had to go “ drop food for the other table” we were just like oh okay. She walked past many times saying things to us but we didn’t understand. She then apologized to her other tables around us about things. she spilt our drinks and left her tablet on our table. She was very rude when We were trying to order she kept cutting us up and telling us “ hold up start over” we literally ordered French toast. We asked for biscuits to come out before our meal and she said “ they come with your meal” and we replied we know can we have them before and she rolled her eyes. As soon as she walked away I asked someone for the manager. I’m sorry but I cannot deal a server being rude and cutting me off when I’m asking a question or trying to tell you my order. The manager came by and apologized and switched our server to Kimberly. I never did get the manager’s name.Kimberly immediately brought out our biscuits and her favorite jam it was amazing. Kimberly’s attitude and service was 100% better than Faith’s. I like the general store it was a easy way to kill time and we found some items we liked and bought. There was items from toys to candies to homely items and seasonal decorations. The food at Cracker Barrel was not impressive. The bacon and fried apples were the best items. The French toast was so dense and soggy it was like they didn’t cook it long enough we barely could eat half of it. My fruit bowl was pitiful just a couple pieces of fruit. The service from Kimberly was the best part. But faith and the food was very disappointing. If we come back we will come for lunch for dinner and ask to be in a table for Kimberly.

I wasn't very happy with my visit today. Turkey and Dressing was the special. It usually comes with sweet potato casserole. I asked if I could get something else and the server agreed. That was a bright spot at least. My husband likes his catfish and fries on the salty side. So, he was pleased in that regard. Another bright spot. About 15-20 minutes after ordering the server came out to say we were waiting on dressing and dropped off biscuits that were lightly burned. (They were replaced after requested). The server was gone before I could ask him to please bring everything else out. It took another 10 minutes for the meals to come out - without gravy for the turkey. The turkey was very dried out and everything was over salted. I didn't eat the turnip greens because of that. The okra wasn't crisp. My husband got a tea refill but the server forgot mine. We never received ketchup, a tea refill, vinegar for the greens or the gravy. The server came out at then end of the meal and asked how it was. I picked up a small piece of turkey and clinked it against the plate. He immediately went to speak with the manager. Our server was very nice but seemed rushed. The manager didn't make time to come to our bbn table. However, the server came out to say the manager had written off our drinks. That didn't make up for a terrible meal but it was a nice gesture.

I would like to bring the terribleness of this place on the pandemic and I'm sure that has affected the quality of service they are able to provide. Truthfully though, I've lived in this city the majority of my life and I keep going back here because every once in a while my kids get a wild hair. Service is consistently bad, food is consistently incorrect. Last time I was there we ordered hot tea, we were brought an empty teapot and a tea bag and never provided hot water. (Even though we asked). Not sure what they wanted us to do. We ordered eggs inside of toast and were served scrambled eggs with sliced cheese , thrown on top of a piece of toast with just with a piece of the bread cut out of the middle. Was not like the menu described at all. We were also only provided 2 sets of silverware, 2 plates fir biscuits (ethic I had to ask for), and 2 drinks even though there were 3 people in the party from the get go. Had to ask repeatedly to get the 3rd person served. This was just the most recent experience but as I've mentioned, service has been bad there for years, and it is not improving.

I have nothing against CB, but this location is horrible. We go to other locations often enough to know things here are a bit off. I dont know if the menu changes with locations, but this one had a single sheet of paper, where the other places I've been to have a trifold menu with pictures. Less choices as well, but that's ok First off, when we arrived, it was moderately busy but not super busy. We acknowledge that, but there was no host/hostess to seat us. We waited 5 minutes before anyone came to seat us. We were seated at 1:35pm. The table next to us was covered in dirty dishes and was in need of being bussed. When we left almost an hour later, it was still covered in dirty dishes. The staff just kept adding more to it to clear off tables. At 1:45, the waitress finally showed up to take our drink order. She served the drinks very fast after that and took our order.

Never asked if we wanted biscuits or cornbread.

At 1:57pm, she drops off two whole biscuits and one top half of a biscuit. Then nothing til 2:07pm, when we got our food. She refilled my son's drink and ignored my almost empty water and my wife's half empty drink. She dropped off an empty ketchup bottle as well. Last I saw of her until she dropped off the check.

Half of my wife's shrimp was over-cooked and tough. The other half were good. Carrots and mashed potatoes were cold. Carrots were overcooked mush, even though they were cold. Mash potatoes were literally cold in the center when I stuck my finger in to check after she complained. My wife and teenager son didn't even try to eat their potatoes after that. My son ate one chicken strip and wouldn't eat anymore.

My chicken was great, but my sides were cold. Cold food seems to be a recurring kitchen issue at this location, according to other reviews.

For the first time in my life, I left a $1 tip. Took way too long to get a drink order. I never got a drink refill. She was rude as heck. The server's name (according to the receipt) is Shaderrian P. Yes, I'm naming names.

Overall, I won't be back to this location. The manager is obviously lacking and slacking. (Step up your game, dude)

The waitstaff is horrendous. (Maybe not all, but from what I saw, they could do better.)

The kitchen can't serve hot food in a timely manner.

Paying $3.29 for a drink and no refills is outrageous.

The total bill was $50. I paid that to be served cold food, given an empty ketchup bottle, treated rudely, and no drink refill. I guess that makes me the stupid one.

Can we get Gordon Ramsey in here to...

Don't know what it is about this location but the one thing that hasn't changed in several years is shoddy/lackluster service. I realize good help is hard to find especially in an age now where employees don't care about the brand and just want a paycheck and unfortunately this location seems to exemplify that generously. I have been to several other locations in several other states and always had bubbly, warm and outgoing servers who seemed to care about their customers NOT THIS one. Food was ok. It was served hot which is to be expected however again the server acted as though she really wanted to someplace else. When offering a refill on the wife's coke a to go cup was brought out with lid on it as opposed to another glass of coke which makes it clear as though you are rushing the guest, refill on my tea was done in a rushed fashion where instead of slowing down once the glass nearest the top nope just filled it on up with some pouring on table. The young lady seating us at the start of the meal again no interaction asking how we were or how was our day or such. Guessing hospitality has disappeared from this particular location. A bit of friendly advice to franchise owner and mgr teach these youngsters about hospitality and putting a smile on those faces. It really felt as though they didn't care whether we ate here or not. Guess we will see if this can improved on in another 6 years. Yes it had been that long since I visited and will most likely be another 6 before I waste my dollars on a restaurant that doesn't seem to want...
