Giving a 4 because the people who work here are overall so very nice. The wiring was poor in our first room- turning off the overhead lights turned off all the sockets…so no Cpap or phone charging. The front desk sent up the maintenance man - didn’t catch his name - and he said no problem with our removing the bulb so we could sleep. It was really late and they understood our not wanting to move that late. The next morning they very graciously moved us to the next room. I’m so glad because that first room had a dingy and dirty shower curtain and the floor was so sticky that our feet stuck to our shoes. This second room is much better. The view is amazing! We don’t really gamble so can’t speak to the casino games.. the reason we didn’t give 5 stars is everything is closed as far as places to eat and drink. There is a little kiosk type place for grab and go. The coffee says Starbucks but was terrible and the employee didn’t know how to make the coffee to 165. Stupid me didn’t double check the lid because it appeared on.. and I burned my front on the coffee and soaked my shirt. Upon inspection the cup was defective. Lesson learned to always double check. No healthy options that looked fresh enough to eat. The room was very dusty and I had to clean off human genetic material off of the ottoman. We would go to ballys next door to eat. It smells really nice at ballys but pretty terrible here. Like the back of a bus. At any rate, I wanted to focus on the view and the staff who are helpful and friendly.

My trip to Sams Town casino was a spontaneous one; I was actually heading to Jackson Mississippi to make a segment of their food spots but I had found a deal on Travelocity for this hotel/casino. The parking garage is a little far if you’re rolling in heavy luggage so I illegally parked in the front, turns out that I walked about the same distance to get to the hotel reception area. I was confronted by security for recording myself in the front of the entrance, hence, outside. You are welcomed by the locals just outside the entrance and they might ask you for some money or an article of clothing. Once you enter the doors, the ambiance changes from a homeless retreat to a full-blown casino scene with the extravagant restaurants. Yet, it was quite empty for the size of the restaurant area. I’m sure when there’s an important game or fight, it must get lit (maybe). It took about 30 min. For the travelocity book-in to reflect on their system. In the meantime, I parked my car in the garage and walked the long ways with my luggage. The receptionists were polite and helpful, one was extra nice actually, and was interested in my vlogging adventures. The way to the room was pleasant, and when I did manage to go into the room, it was just what I expected. The temperature was perfect and the room was spotless. There was a slight outdated feeling about the hallway and room but for the price, I couldn’t expect anything better. The king bed was like laying on a cloud, a little too soft for my taste but perfect to lay and relax with your phone or tablet. The purpose of my stay was for the room, not the casino, but I couldn’t resist to take a look around. I’ve been to a few casinos before and this might’ve been the smallest out of all of them. I sat down on a slot machine and played a few dollars, they were already eyeing me from recording the entrance so I wasn’t going to risk another episode inside the casino. So I waited ‘til the morning to record :D. They were quite strict about vaping and moving around the slots. I knew I wasn’t going to come out with any earnings so I just really went for the experience. I felt tense due to the security and the visitors were not the upscale type that you’d like to mingle with. I was able to record some interior shots in the morning, but it was nothing too impressive. The checkout was easy and I felt refreshed in the morning. I give this place 3 stars as an overall experience.

I wrote a review right after staying at this hotel November 25, 2023. No refunds, no call from management, no apologies. I am pretty upset with both Sam's and Google they feel like they can take down a true experience with photos to back up our claims. I will make this one again because it was a horrible experience. We were checked into a room that had blood splatter, a mess in the bathroom and weed on the counter. We were moved to another room that had crap marks on the the toilet seat, the floors were horrendous and the room was in poor repair. I honestly should have moved hotels but after 10 hours of driving that day we were done. Tried to go to the hot tub and it was warm at best. Our daughter could not watch the live band in the lobby at a table, we were told there was a kids arcade in the hotel which there was NOT, it was 3 blocks away and closed. The food and service were good. The employees were friendly. Leaving the next morning at 6:30 am, we were not allowed to use the luggage carts because they are only allowed to be used by the bell hops. The bell hops didn't start until 7:30 am. I had to haul 2 coolers, 4 bags and other random items down from our room to the parking lot. If I could give negative stars I would.

This review is strictly for the hotel and conference room part, I was here for work and didn’t experience the entertainment side. The room was nice , spacious . They could’ve had a bigger TV. Haven’t seen room service neither was informed about it( but wasn’t in need ) hotel doesn’t have breakfast but there is a place that does in the hotel but can’t say was good. My main priority is a gym because I am frequently on the road but it was closed at 10pm. I don’t understand why not keep in 24 hour or at least till midnight. We were using the conference rooms. We needed the area to be locked(because of our equipment), we had to wait 30 40 min for someone to come which at that time it was midnight. Why was this important because we had to be up in 5 hours , lost the extra hour we could’ve rested by waiting for someone. After the event we needed assistant regarding the room but again no one was available to help out so we just gave up on our need. The staff were friendly , it’s just the hotel didn’t seem like work traveler accommodating.

This is a 100% honest feedback review, This was my first time staying at Sam’s Town, it wasn’t the best but it was not bad. First and foremost, this is an old hotel and needs to be remodeled. If money was spent on an overhaul/ remodel this would be a cool location and my favor place to stay. It is very dark looking in the rooms even with all the lights on. The room had a pleasant smell and was clean but reminded me of my grandmother’s 1980 living room. The bed was firm and not soft. My room did smell like weed a couple times, but this isn’t the hotels fault. Somebody nearby was smoking and I smelled it. Parking was a breeze because I stayed here Sunday- Weds and it was pretty slow. I did spend a lot of money gambling over 3 days and got a couple free beers but wasn’t comped any food or anything. Or even my one last night extra stay. Ive gambled at Horseshoe before and got some really good meals and free night stay out of it. Plus it’s a little more updated than Sam’s.

Actually 1.5 stars. It was close to our hotel. Valet and Bconnect staff were awesome. The casino when you walk in looks great. However. My first impression was a lady so drunk she fell. The Bconnect offers nothing for becoming a new member. You must earn tiers points. Yes there are 3 floors but each section for gaming can be compared to a long wide hallway. I kept feeling vibrations under my feet on every floor. Maybe the train. I don't know. No drink service on 1st or M floor. Finally on the 3rd floor after chasing down a server who directed me to a drink dispenser and eventually another server took my drink order. I got a warm bud light The wonderful end to my night came when the t-shirts available were L or XL. Not fair. I cant even get MY size. The worker said it will shrink. I dont think it will shrink to a medium. To sum it up for $300 all I got was a lousy night gown and a hot bud light. My daughter spent $500 for a gown and a pepsi.
