The first time I was here was there to pay a speeding ticket. I was told by the Sargent in the Shrewsbury police department that I could pay my ticket here on the same day as it was issued. Come to find out, that was a lie, the court cleck who is a very nice person told me it would take a week before I could pay it. I am not upset about the speeding ticket, but the fact that there are officers that do not know you can not pay a speeding ticket the same day and a Sargent at that I was also not made to sign this ticket so is it even valid without my signature. The issue I have is once agian a Sargent on this city's police force did not know something that should be basic information for every officer on this force should know. So that they do not waste time and make feel foolish of the people they ticket for not braking a law, as speeding is not a law, it is a suggested amount of time to take to get someplace. But besides that, I would ask, please, the city of Shrewsbury train the officers better on something like knowing a ticket can not be paid the same day. I even asked him multiple times, and he kept saying yes, and it was not at the police station o would need to go to the court house as it has changed location.
